Yeah ngl I think Little Garden was neccessary but I never really enjoyed it that much. But there is an upcoming backstory which is probably my favourite in the whole show. Definitely debatable because there's so many great ones to come but certain lines and dialogue have stayed with me and I often find myself thinking about from this upcoming arc.

not a complaint but it probably felt longer for you guys because it was in multiple 2 episode releases so even though it was 8 episodes it was still 4 separate times of sitting down to watch it. If you'd just done two batches of 4 episodes it wouldn't felt like it was over super fast, like intro and setup, and then main conflict and finale. Not the best arc but also one of the shortest

I really enjoy watching you guys react to one piece but 4 episodes per week just seems like too little for a show with 1000+ eps… this is gonna take about 5 years to finish at this rate and not sure if I’m ready for that kind of commitment 😶 Maybe watching it in batches of 3-4 eps on the big arcs and binging smaller arcs like this one in a week?

YUPP, I think I felt the exact same way. The show was a lot more enjoyable when you can binge watch it. But treating it as a journey is also enjoyable so I think they taking it the pace they are comfortable with

Haha. Some of these One Piece arcs are horrendously long and slow paced but this arc was quite okay. I noticed only one episode was a tough watch. And I have way higher standards over an anime as short as Demon Slayer. One Piece gets some slack because of how long it is.

the thing with binging is most people blackout during the uninteresting parts, so of course you'd think back on it fondly if you don't remember half of it. my personal experience with op is i split it in sagas with breaks in-between so i was naturally more critical with the smaller arcs even when i did "binge" a whole saga

I think ppl forget if an arc wasn’t good because they were binging it, and I completely agree I personally could not watch the show weekly, even now when I’m caught up, sometimes I wait a few weeks till a few eps are out so I can binge it, and there’s no need to rush anyways!
