14 eps IS a full seasons worth in modern anime, but OP is from the bronze age of anime. weekly appointment television. One of the few Year round animes left. The season lengths weren't set in stone i believe.

Honestly, with the pace the anime goes at nowadays, it's really nice to see the small crew moments this early into the show, like them all having a sleepover with Nami while she's sick. I love early One Piece so much, and this next arc is going to be a banger!

Alabaster pacing isn't actually that bad compared to other arcs, just skip the fillers. Even though some of those fillers involves my favorite pirate. 🥺 but that's just my opinion.

If youre caught up you know I aint wrong. The Runeterra world might be just as good as One Piece when both series are finished but it wont be better. Id say the only universe that is better than One Piece is probably Warhammer 40k, but they different ball parks so its hard to compare.

One Piece does unironically clear Arcane, not at this point in the show obviously, but fans that are caught up get it. There are very few things out there that are better than One Piece in storytelling though.
