LETS GOOO

Euphemia Isobel

omggg surprise not bed time yet drop

Euphemia Isobel

Ngl I love this show to a 10 but the first half of season 3 was definitely it's weakest point for me, but the 2nd half makes up for it

Riley

hey guys pls watch severance fr

Euphemia Isobel

The 2nd half made it all worth it but yes, it definitely comes across as mostly exposition

Jude G

Since Martha is the Jonas of her world it really does hammer home how important that frase is: we’re a perfect match, don’t ever believe anything else. Cause yeah at first you think it’s purely romantic and it is but it’s also about the fact that they’re both each others match in their respective worlds

outrun_fate

here early just to say cannon and mckay i missed you on the last arcane reactions the videos are not the same without you guys 🫶🏻

Renek

carter standing like a teacher at the end explaing the family tree had me killed

The night is Dank and full of Memers

You think you know where all these threads end up but the stuff along the way connects to other plots in ways you won't expect, that is why you are seeing them.

Jan Enns

Subscribed today to get 3x1 and got the next ep too lol <3

palma

Carter's TED talk at the end 🤣

Derek Whittom

I would be cautious about assuming the family tree(s) are necessarily accurate.

Lt.Charlie

Free Ulrich 🇩🇪

Camille Makoa

I should be sleeping guys. I have a 730 am meeting

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

You wouldn't believe how many times I'm just minding my business and an involuntary thought about this shows family tree starts mathing in my brain. It will never not glitch me to pieces.

Nanashi

I was afraid to say rewatching this this season has been kinda boring. It's my favorite show😭

Agent September 🏴‍☠️

Dude if Hannah is alive and in 1987 she knows literally knows everything and is 100% laughing to herself diabolically on the couch watching Ulrich family get destroyed

bloartle

it was always wishful thinking for the boys to not do a deep dive into the family tree at the end lol. not a huge deal i dont think, but sometimes things are better when they're revealed organically. also i'm surprised you guys didn't have any theories on the infinity symbol that connects the two sides 👀

Cindy Beach

I have no idea why the show put that map in. They were perfect in so many ways in not spoiling. Maybe hinting, but never outright spoiling. Whatever, I’m used to by now. Doesn’t really make that much difference in the end. Maybe that’s why.

Nypsyy

Hey guys, in case you didn't know there is a website for DARK that does a really cool event summary, with characters and stuff (https://dark.netflix.io). It's spoiler free so you can just select which episode you've watched and it shows only what you should know, with a lot of extra cool stuff !

JulioLG

Why didnt ocurr to me to take a closer look to the family tree on my first watch? Sounds like the obvious think to do. Oh yeah, because I binge watched s3 non stop the moment it went out 🤣🤣🤣 Great reaction as always folks!

Adam Dark

I only noticed family tree today ,i didn't noticed when i watched first time at all ,may be bingeing is the reason lol.

Diamond

Not sure if it's only me but I really liked the Noah and Elizabeth scenes, maybe because they are one of my favorite couples lol. When I first watched I wanted to see how the relationship develop so I was excited to see it.

Jan Enns

Im not sure if its more enjoyable that way, i think not looking at it makes for greater moments later in the season

Ante

First time im seeing a show spoil itself lmao. I didnt pay any attention to the tree when I watched.

Jengit

Not related to Dark but would really like to know the Geks opinion on the live action How to train your dragon trailer/movie and if they would react to it

Abdulmajeed

Damn this tree i wish you guys didn’t pay attention to it

Euphemia Isobel

A show can’t spoil itself everyone 😭 the tree is meant to be looked at or it wouldn’t be there

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I already know, but I just mean the mind boggling of stuff like being your own grandma and sleeping with your step grandma before you're born 😅

Euphemia Isobel

And that cracked out end of the discussion was more entertaining than any reaction they would’ve had to those characters parentage 😭

Rayanh LaNansha

Let them. They don`t have to be cautious, everything will either be confirmed or denied soon enough.

DARK EXPERT

Bruh stop trying to convince yourself 😭 In my opinion at least, it was a stupid decision to include the family tree in the episode. It spoils so much of the mysteries that would have beautifully unravelled otherwise. They literally have spoiled themselves here and I am kind of afraid that it’s not really going to hit them now as it should. 🥲 (although I will say that the discussion over here was still entertaining)

Dio

Dang I haven't watched yet, I wonder what it could have spoiled? I thought the family tree included everything they would already know.

Dio

Oh wait they definitely shouldn’t have looked at the family tree 💀

DARK EXPERT

Nah for some strange reason, these usually so attentive creators decided to include all the relationships and lineages that are still not unravelled in the show. Maybe they forgot that this is actually 2020s and people can pause a frame and have a good look at it. Because it makes no sense. These are literally ENORMOUS SPOILERS.

Jude G

I don’t think the creators cared tbf. Their bread and butter is creating a structured and interesting narrative. Yes they indulge in twists and turns but really I think they did that on purpose they must’ve known people would pause, the created this for Netflix obviously they were aware people could stop and look they aren’t stupid

Mysterious Figure

Oh yeah, the creators put the family tree in the show with two of the main characters staring directly AT IT for a prolonged period of time because they wanted the audience to ignore it and pretend it WASNT there. Sure. So many people in the comments wanting the reactors to watch and react to content the "proper" way really makes it understandable why some content creators don't even want to read the comments. It's bad enough what I've seen some people consider as spoilers in these comments, but this is just a new low. "The show is spoiling itself" - DARK - a show that spoiled itself. LMAO

Dio

You literally can't notice the people in the family tree unless you go back like the Geks did and look closely at the relationships. I wouldn't say the creators had that in mind for people to do. literally no one was able to warn them, even people who have seen the show multiple times like myself because we never thought to do what they did

Dio

Also no one is telling them the "proper" way to react? not a single comment has said anything about that except for you lol. You just rage bait in all of your comments, wish the Geks would censor you and prevent us having to suffer reading all your comments

Ardrianer

Pay attention to the transitions between scenes. If there is a tick, the time lines jump around. If this zooming in occurs, you jump back and forth between the worlds.

Zess

Ive actually seen the comment he's referring to yesterday, but also that was 1 person lol I dont really understand the need to get all huffin and puffin over it. But also your comment on the creators not intending people to pause because you didnt think to do so is just false. The creators had a website keeping track of the family trees episode by episode lol I'm sure they thought people would want to sleuth. I myself paused on this same scene too. I do that for many shows thats showing something but goes by too fast, like a message in other shows being read but not overtly acknowledged to the audience with a narrator or something. If the creators didnt think people were going to try and keep track of the tree, especially after showing us it, would mean they thought we were stupid or had little attention span lol I get the opposite of that from what I've seen.

Zess

Reading further down on the comments made today, there are even more people saying they spoiled themselves lol can't really deny what figure is writing about with that.

Dio

You didn’t even bother to fact check your own comment 😂 that website you mentioned the creators have out there, if you check it for 3x2, it does not show any of the relationships the Geks mentioned at the end. So, you are wrong about the creators intending for people to pause and go through the family tree…

Dio

It’s also absolutely fair that people are saying they spoiled themselves imo.. you shouldn’t argue with that either if you’ve seen the show lol idk how people are defending. I don’t blame the Geks at all though, they didn’t know about it

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

I don't quite understand how older Jonas exists with no memories of younger Jonas getting transported to the other world. How did he become older Jonas then?

Andy tee

He's the Jonas from the previous loop, where none of the world crossing shenanigans happened... I think 😅

Andy tee

I could hear Carter's brain frying when he was reading the family tree. Some crazy revelations in there

The night is Dank and full of Memers

It will be 100% explained but you are meant to be confused by that so don't worry. It is the biggest? introduced this season, the moment bearded Jonas says he was never there = alarm bells in viewers brains.

Tim Moore

Jonas is what we call a bootstrap existence if I'm not terribly mistaken.

SuddenImpulse

Its not been explained yet, is the simple answer. The night is Dank has the right of it. Well, I would say that and one other thing but the Geks all missed it so I won't mention it lol

SuddenImpulse

@MysteriousFigure Ya know...there is a way for you to convey your position on something without coming off as a complete and total condescending jerk about it, you should probably work on that. Stuff like your comment attacking a bunch of people is a lot worse than what most comments on these shows are doing, which, as someone thats been on many patreons, are quite friendly and tame. Touch grass.

SuddenImpulse

As far as the family tree thing, its understandable they would want to take a look at it. They made an official website with a spoiler filter for people to follow along with characters and how the are connected, but people didn't want them to use that, so of course they are going to do this when this is the only other method presented to them. Idk why people are surprised by that. I have seen other reactors pause and look at the family tree. My biggest disappointment every time is people assuming that any character has everything figured out, when there is no indication that any of them do, or that this should be assumed. Quite the opposite, really, as we have seen repeatedly with many characters. Also, a bunch of people wigging out saying they shouldn't look at something because there is spoilers in it, is just going to highlight to them that there is something in there they shouldn't have seen. Its indirect spoillng in an attempt to prevent someone from spoiling themselves, lol.

SuddenImpulse

Some folks had suggested they use the website and a good number of people on both youtube and patreon didn't want the Geks to use the official website that the creators made for watching along, which has a GREAT season and episode specific spoiler filter on it, that helps track characters and connections, and then people are surprised that they saw a big family tree in the show quite literally built into the floor and decided to look at it more closely? Why are people surprised by this? Of course they are going to be enticed by that when there is no other alternative outside just ignoring it.

SuddenImpulse

For some reason people didn't want the Geks to use the official website that the creators made for watching along, which has a GREAT season and episode specific spoiler filter on it, that helps track characters and connections, and then you are surprised that they saw a big family tree in the show and decided to look at it more closely. You people make zero sense. Of course they are going to be enticed by that when there is no other alternative outside just ignoring it.

SuddenImpulse

@Jan Enns You shouldn't rob yourself of good show moments when the show is almost done.

SuddenImpulse

@Derek You would think that would be obvious, but no reactors seem to consider that, even though half the show is people realizing something they thought was the case, was not.

SuddenImpulse

Yeah they wouldn't waste a bunch of screen time and money on things that were irrelevant.

roonil

I saw many people telling the Geks to use the website multiple times, so you being in the comments and saying everyone forbade them from going to the website is faaaar from the truth. We would've loved if they actually used the website.

SuddenImpulse

OK maybe I needed to be more clear and that is my fault perhaps, but I think its is obvious they would not know about the website without people suggesting they should use it. What I was saying is some people suggested it, and a bunch of people vigorously said it was a bad idea. I hope that sufficiently clears up what I meant. I was not trying to be misleading, and obviously that would be pointless when anyone can reply to me. This occurred both on patreon and on youtube.

Zess

I don't see how that contradicts what I said at all lol you're arguing that the show spoiled itself by the plot revealing itself in a canon episode....like I think the plot has been lost fully here lol you were also just arguing that no one is here saying they spoiled themselves by pausing...yet here you are doing just that. You're arguing how they ruined the experience for themselves a bit while also trying to keep the stance that no one is saying that. It's a bit silly to be saying the show is spoiling itself lol this episode is a reveal, just as much as it might be later for those that didn't choose to pause there. Y'all clearly have an idea of what the optimal viewing experience is, why not just own up to that thought instead of whatever this denial is.

Euphemia Isobel

Dark day and one day closer to the peak episode stretch of 6,7 and 8 🥳

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I know I say this a lot, but couldn't two things be true at the same time? That the creators put the tree there aware it might hint or tell later reveals, while also aware that not every viewer would pause to look? And that The Geks may have lessened the full impact of those reveals, while also not really doing anything to "ruin" the full experience of watching the show? (Also because of high rewatchability value) I feel a certain way about it, but can also anticipate with most reactors who might wanna sleuth the hardest, and this one is like #1 in the "gonna figure shit out before the show tells" not even really because of curiosity and forethought to pause and examine, but because of their combined intellectualism. They're all bouncing ideas off each other eventually coming to a pretty educated guess way prior to things anyhow, so I actually think it's more about the group than what the writers should or shouldn't have done or did or didn't intend, and that all the factors play, with this 'exception'.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Because there are some people who wouldn't want to look, for fear of spoiling something. I purposely didn't. And the whole website is there for people to keep up without knowing all the twists, so obviously they kept in mind that some would just want to follow that. Maybe they just understand audiences and trusted everyone to make their own decisions based on everything they provided.

Nypsyy

I get it, but I trust them not to spoil themselves hehe. At least they can check it when the show ends if they really don't want to take any risks.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

What is it? Isn't she like 15 rn and he's like 17 or something? Which Noah stopped her in the woods? She was like 11-13 then??? I've been thinking about it, but I think since only the young Noah actually fell in love with her later in their lives, it's awkward and questionable but not creepy. What borders on that is probably the old Noah existing at the same time young Elizabeth does, but then he is dead, and young Noah is the one who actually interacts with her. It could also be questionable because of the power dynamic between how much (any) Noah knows and how much Elizabeth doesn't (until later post-apocalypse). I just find fascinating the concept of their bond being pre-destined over generations of time, not in a "Hannah just happens to meet Mikkel/Micheal" way or "Jonas and Martha are intertwined as two sides of a timeline", but because they both lost something that's a part of them and only wanted to reunite with it. Probably also because I'm adopted and resonate with the pain of family separation in infancy.

Diamond

I think she's 9 or 10 but not not sure about Noah. His maybe 15 or 16 like you said. I don't make it a big deal with the age because when they have charlotte she's so much older that it's not a big deal for me. I still find them really cute and how we see a different side of Noah.

Frank Francis

DARK EXPERT, maybe the real experts are the writers and director of the show, don't you think? If they've shown the tree, there is a reason, and you should know it if you're an expert ;)

Mysterious Figure

@SuddenImpulse It's hypocritical of you to say I am being condescending in my comment when you are supporting a stance that many people here in the comments are trying to force on the creators - a stance of "hey let us tell you which way you should watch this show" - which is IN ITSELF, condescending. You, and several others want to condescendingly tell me and everyone else what we SHOULD do and/or how to do it, but then expect to be treated differently? Did you people fall on your head when you were little? By the way, I meant that last sentence in the most condescending way possible, if for some reason you missed how much I despise when people are being condescending hypocrites. I don't need advice from someone as condescending as that about what I should work on in my communication. My condescension wasn't accidental, it was INTENDED for people like you that provoke AND deserve it. Additionally, I DID (as I'm sure as many other attentive interested viewers did) pause during that scene with the family tree in my own viewing of the show. I guess in your condescending minds some of you people believe THE ONLY "proper" way to experience reality is through your specific structure of thinking. I will always react badly when I'm disrespectfully being told what to do. I can decide for myself, thank you. As I'm sure you should be able to respect, other people can decide for themselves too. Pausing the show to look at the family tree during that scene didn't make my viewing of the show "worse", and who is anyone to say anything about that other than ME? In fact, I enjoyed that part even more because I did pause and look at it. You guys watch the show how you want. Let everyone else watch it which ever way they want. And shut up about it.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I mean I do think people should *watch* how they want, but also be free to *express* themselves how they want. It was clear to me that everyone who mentioned disappointment was expressing from personal opinion, not meaning to be imposing on anyone. Just as you here have expressed your disappointment with their expression of disappointment.

A_Daddy Daichi

Wait can you make a comment on the finale? I don’t remember if I ever found out or not and I want to wait until it ends

A_Daddy Daichi

Nah I think it’s fun figuring stuff out at certain times. Some people will get it right away and some people won’t until later. It’s exciting!

A_Daddy Daichi

I forgot Tronte did that 😭

A_Daddy Daichi

lmaooo I LOVED the ending discussion

Joel

AGNES IS HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH HER GREATGREAT GRANDMA! 🗣🔥🗣🔥

TeddyBearBonfire

@Dio There is no shot the creators did not intend for some viewers to stop and look at the tree. This is the third season; the show had already developed a reputation for being one of those shows investigative viewers would pore over and analyse to the extreme, discussing what was foreshadowed and when, what seemingly irrelevant things actually carry significant relevance, etc. There were many such pockets in the community that I took part in when each season was initially released. The creators are nowhere near as stupid as you are suggesting. They are not unaware of the audience they had cultivated.

Lawrence Howard

Oh my god all these years later I just realized that Bartoz is Martha’s cousin!!! Man time travel just keeps causing this girl to commit incest 🤢🤢🤢🤢
