This was MIND BLOWING EDIT: audio gets a little weird in the middle, I accidentally left double audio, so sorry!

farkzzy

sal

omg so quick

Christine

Spending my weekend watching these videos, let’s gooooooo!

Venny

Thats more like itttt

Dony29

love the quick uploads!!!

Geno

Ad work, but I’m SO EXCITED to binge watch all the reactions coming out

Savannah Balderas

Another one?? I haven’t even gotten home yet, I love this!! Plenty to watch after work

Nonos

That day definitely even without action is one of the best episodes of AOT.

Miranda

The audio is a little bit messed around 11 min. The episode is too loud

KowalSky

Good job with the quick uploads🤗

Dio

Yea it's unfortunate but fixes around 17:23

Zachary Feller

Very disappointed that after 11 minutes in I can't hear what you're all saying.

ethan cooper

hehehe i love this episode

Antares

Not sure if it's just me but the audio on these videos have been transitioning all over the place, from good quality to bad.

studiogek

Sorry everyone for weird audio in the middle of the episode, I put an edit in the description but the audio from the episode got left in so there is double. Wont happen again!!

iiTzKaizen

is there gonna be another episode today or am i gonna have to wait ;-;

Miranda

The part Grisha read the 'True History', he also said he only understand a part of it since it's an ancient language. And also remember, history is always told by who wrote about it, either sides.

Megan Kirby

I watched this episode really late at night, and I was sooo confused at first😅

hman70

I love the post conversation so much. Carter repeatedly asking “Ok, but who’s GOOD? Is anyone good or is everyone bad?” My dude is asking all the perfect questions, picking up exactly what vibes the show is laying down in that moment 😂

alexis Ramirez

I love that Cannon and Carter are sooo conflicted lol 🤯

Proximity94

I'm absolutely astounded how much information you've absorbed on your first watch, that's amazing. Obviously there was a lot of explaining from the three of you but still, good job. You really seem to get what this show is about.

Katrīna Susmara

TBF, when talking about who's good or who's bad, no one deserves the punishment for what their ancestors did especially knowing that eldians memories were erased.

Venny

Need another one now bros, I can’t lie 🤣

Dony29

goated discussion

Taha Faiq

Epic 40 minute upload

Walden

Im totally fine with messed up audio if the uploads are that fast

Taha Faiq

Btw since you guys like the soundtrack so much, the volume is low the first time the track was played but you should listen to Len Zo 97N10, plays at the end of the last episode. Absolutely goated track, one of my favorites from the whole series

Proximity94

Exactly. Though I wouldn't have picked up on this if people didn't point it out this is what the show is telling us at that moment - that we can't be sure about the righteousness of the restorationist's movement. They might as well be the side who are doing wrong and are led by blind faith.

Branflakes

This episode and the next might be my favorite in the series. Season 4 has a bunch of bangers also though, cant wait for you guys to get caught up.

Synad

I simply adore watching the guys finally crack this nut open

Carlos Calderon

I'm glad the audio issue is short-lived. I know it's a ton of editing that's happening back to back, but if you can please double check the audio files before uploading!

Mia Malvik

Blonde hair+blue eyes= Armin's mom hahahah

sal

Seeing the dots connect brought me so much joy you don't even know, the post-convo was GOLD! I love this revelation because this is where all the previous episodes start to be recontextualized. After this, rewatching episodes like scout Ymir's backstory, or truly season 2 in general, will just absolutely blow your mind. I think it was Brigg that said some reactions ago that you'll feel stupid watching it back because everything is literally right there but you just don't have the knowledge to notice and it's so true! This is why this show is the most rewatchable pieces of media ever, truly a treasure.

Bibi

I absolutely love the discussion at the end! Would love to see more discussions at the end of episodes

Jeffrey

Carter: It's Armin's mom! Also Carter: She's the Smiling titan, dude. No way! I don't know how you caught that. Most if not all reactors figure it out after she transforms into a titan. And finally it's been revealed that Zeke is not Erwin's dad. Finally. Oh and that there are no humans inside pure mindless titans. Great reactions and great questions.

Paul Coffield

What Grisha was doing was essentially taking pieces of history that he understood from the Eldian texts to get the version of events that best fit his preconceived ideas about the Eldians and Marleyans with the death of his sister being the catalyst. It was basically his truth not but necessarily the whole truth, but he passed it off as such to the Eldians that followed him.

Tkdmegs

Hi guys! Just wanted to say that it’s crazy to think I found you guys by accident and getting triggered seeing “ANIME HATERS” in the title lol. It doesn’t feel like I’ve been following you guys for long BUT HOLY SHIT!!! I been following since December and you guys are honestly the first channel I’ve been with since the beginning (sorry if this sounds creepy 😂) and watching the community grow is AMAZING! I just really wanted to say that lol. Thanks for the hard work and awesome reaction guys! P.S, I finally know your names without second guessing myself (I’m so bad at names lol)😂💀

Isabella Manocchio

Every episode revolving around Grisha is 10/10

Kaysie Kaufman

Words cannot express just how much I love the passionate discourse at the end of these episodes !!! You guys have such wonderful insight and ask the best questions. Thank you so much for including it all!!!

Karen Martinez

Love you guys reactions … can’t wait for you to start season 4 😁

Usagi

I was so scared the 2 haters would get spoiled. LOL I was like “you can stop talking about the titans in the walls now Brig” 🫣

iaani

You know a show is on something when you get interested by its fictional history books.

Jathen M Nakamura

Post discussion was great! can't wait to see you guys react to s4!

Sofomo

Loved the reaction to realizing who Dina's titan was!! And a lot of great post-episode discussion too. You guys are finally getting so many puzzle pieces. So excited to see you learn more!

metalgearbear

The absolute onslaught of information this episode gives is enough to make you think all day lol.

Julia Perez

Also - the way they structured this makes the Ymir backstory reveal so smart. Bc she wandered as a Titan for 60 years, the technology in Marley when she was a kid wasn’t all that different from Paradis’s current level, so it just sort of slid by without being obvious. Crazy bro

Bladee

Bladee approved reaction

Speqqs

I just want to see season 4 part two already 😂

Jawrool

It's that pesky Canon and Carter both sitting next to eachother that had me second guessing for the longest time

Ahnaan Merchant

Need the next two episodes asap please😭

Alex E

Seeing you guys learn the truth brings memories when I first saw it 👌🏽

nomorepartiezz

within this single episode Attack on Titan goes from the last of humanity fighting to survive against evil monsters to a show about the horrors of war, politics, racism, generational trauma, cycles of oppression, and genocide. And it does it so incredibly naturally. Welcome to real AoT. You’re gonna love it.

nomorepartiezz

LOL I love how Carter instantaneously knew Dina was a huge character and connected to someone we knew… good guess though

Pocketsleuth

Something that always has to be mentioned, the Marley Soldier that killed Grisha's sister, when he talks to about how entertaining and enjoyable it is to watch people get eaten by Titans the way he was drawn was in a way that he's looking at us directly, the audience, we're watching a show that has people being eaten by Titans and find it entertaining, too. Even as you all saw that Marley soldier being eaten you cheered at his death. Isayama really is one of the greats at making you think, even the questions "who are the bad guys?" And "so who's justified?" will keep coming up

kev

25:44 mckay having season 4 telepathic convo with brig lmao

nomorepartiezz

well now it makes sense, because all the characters are of a very specific race lol

Oromis

Could you guys maybe let us know roughly how many episodes you're aiming to upload today/this weekend?

Takuro za siromašne

"I feel like Zeke is such a bum..." oh boy... oh boy...

Jordan

I know you guys just got a LOT of info thrown at you, but I'm kinda surprised no one talked about the parallels to the Holocaust. That's immediately where my mind went the second I saw the armbands. Not to mention the internment zones, German architecture and WWII timezones vibes. Obviously it's not exactly that story but I feel like it heavily inspired a lot of this.

nomorepartiezz

so the whole “why dont pure titans have people in them but still get killed from the nape” is a question ive pondered for a while. I think I have an explanation. So you remember how in S3P2 Reiner survived multiple near death experiences by “moving his consciousness through his body?” overall, that was just a bullshit thing that came out of nowhere. It never comes up again, no one ever uses that ability again. But I think when people “expand” into a Pure Titan, they expand outwards from the neck first. Like how Shifters (Eren, Annie) start forming their Titan from the neck. Only difference is pure titans have their body “expanded” from that point, resulting in a network or whatever where their consciousness is primarily in the nape because thats where their human body started from. Its basically like the human body in the nape dissolves into a network of neurons to form a “brain” there, while shifters have the privilege of maintaining control from there as a human

Jawrool

I don't know if it's confirmed but I think the moving consciousness is a feature of the Armor titan alone. And given Renier's mental state in season 4 it would make sense why it wouldn't be used again.

Pocketsleuth

That track and T-Kt are in my top fave tracks from AoT for sure, so emotional :') they're a variation of the same song but so different, it's amazing

A_Daddy Daichi

I’m at work so I can’t wait to watch 18 to hopefully the finale tonight!!!

nomorepartiezz

its so funny how carter and canon are dissecting and letting everything sink in and Brig is pushing them to start the next one because itll explain more. ive been on both sides and understand both

Chiefzys

Man I wanna see how y’all react to opening season 4 . hype af

nomorepartiezz

they should totally have Declaration of War be the last upload for the week 😭

nomorepartiezz

thats fair. i feel like isayama introduced it but never found a way to expand upon it or use it in a satisfying way. its not a big deal tho, he built one of the most creative and complex fictional worlds ive ever experienced.

nomorepartiezz

i need the next 3 episodes like a fiending crackhead no lie 💀

Daniel Kosmyna

It's always fun watching people react to this episode. Everyone thinks they know the world so well after. But they still have so much to learn yet.

Melizé

I loved loved loved this reaction! the post-episode commentary was awesome, I needed more of it. It is so funny how the show keeps you in the dark for 3 whole seasons and then just dumps all this info in one episode, and still leaves you wanting for so much more. I can't wait to see your S4 reaction videos. You guys are amazing!! Your reactions and thought process are 10/10

rosa_gris

Love listening to you guys piece the information together! It’s so satisfying listening to you guys contextualise past events and confirm whether your predictions were right.

Shiro

In the manga for the Uprising arc, when Hange and Eren are conducting titan experiments, Hange does open up the nape of a pure titan but does not find a human inside, concluding that the human kind of dissolves in the titan body (they edited out in the anime). As for the "moving ones consciousness", I think Isayama introduced it just as a plot armor for Reiner in the Battle for Shiganshina arc 😂He could not have such an important character die through the hands of Levi or the Scouts!!

Shiro

AoT is indeed a battle of perspectives and narratives - if anything, do not believe everything you see/hear should be a motto of this show!

Shiro

An interesting part I wondered is - remember how she can read that language on the fish tin in Utgard Castle? I wonder if the scrolls Grisha was deciphering were in the same language?

Shiro

Whoever chose Grisha's voice actor is a genius! His voice actor is beyond phenomenal! As it is, all voice actors have done an amazing job for this series - every single one of them! But Grisha's VA still manages to rise above them all! You know, I am a manga reader and the performance of his character is so astounding that it changed my perception of Grisha's character! Truly outstanding!!

Shiro

In our defense as the audience, we are watching a show that has people being eaten by Titans and find it entertaining because we know it isn't real! I wonder how many people would find that interesting or entertaining if that was happening for real? I don't think many, but then there are always some...

Caroline B.

Yall need to remember, don't compare AoT to Marvel- this is NOT Marvel

Derrick

This might just be me, but I don’t think the people who’ve already watched the show should be explaining so much about plot detail yet to be shown. The beauty of Isayama’s storytelling is that we learn things out of order but in a way that allows us to constantly question our assumptions and beliefs about the story and characters. Given how much we’re gonna learn through season 4 (and I’m anime only so I still have a ton left to learn in this last part), I’d love to see Carter and Cannon have more opportunity to sit and have to think and piece everything together.

ChrisBrah-4

Was hoping someone explained this to them, though i wished the writer made it clearer that he was talking to the audience like a bit of dialogue showing he’s breaking the 4th wall as well as looking at us directly. Still really cool, everyone hated him justifiably, but I feel his character is only made to serve as a representation of the viewers. He’s damn right that we’re sick for enjoying people getting eaten 🤣

ssj4rit

Not just you. It's annoying when those who've seen it spoil so much. They've already caught up to most of S4 so no worth in pointing it out now, but hopefully in the future they don't spoil as much since it's interesting to see anime-onlines converse and learn the details in real time as they watch.

Nick K

I think what makes it so fun is that there are sooo many pieces lined up, and then in this episode they just let all the dominoes fall one after another and the reveals are non-stop

A_Daddy Daichi

I remember how much this episode blew my freaking mind!!! Had to take like 10 minute just to process wtf I just watched

Licorice Laces

Carter was spitting when he said the new information doesn’t diminish past moments. The second watch of this show is so great

T. Law

0:11 😂😂

T. Law

Cannon "it's an island". That's why people were laughing at you in s1 when you said I'll go to an island 😂. (edit: nvm, you remember).

T. Law

Grisha's voice actor is different from Eren's. He's just that great!

T. Law

"His name is Zeke." Cannon, blinked twice, "no way" me "yes way" 😂. Zeke ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

bloartle

brig provided lots of good insight at the end of this episode. props to him

T. Law

"You poor things." Hey, don't steal Zeke's line.

T. Law

Brig, Mckay & Jackson did a great job at explaining everything 👏🏻.

David Herrera

"no one deserves the punishment for what their ancestors did" exactly right, and if someone wants to punish their enemy's heir, that's just plain revenge and not justice.

David Herrera

The same happened to me, I saw your video just by coincidence or just because youtube knows my preferences, I clicked without thinking and by the end of the first video I wanted to see the next one, but I had to wait until next week. That day.

David Herrera

Many episodes you just have to watch back to back, but this one demands the time to process it all

Sweetcheeks

Not sure if yall noticed this, but all those titans that transformed are the same titans that attacked Paradis in the first few episodes! The santa titan is there as Grishas friends :)

Philip Gastineau

I hope you don't get any hate about the Palestinian Israeli conflict comment. This is exactly what this is. Growing up as a Palestinian American, I faced racism from the Jewish community and I didn't know how to fight back and describe my feelings on the cycle of hatred. How the suppression of one race leads to the hatred of the suppressing race by those being suppressed, thus continuing the cycle of hatred. Propaganda plays a big piece in this as well. My world history text books growing up never mentioned Palestine. Jerusalem was the capital of Israel in all of them. I once asked my teacher about this and they quickly shushed me. I love this show because it does a great job explaining that concept and what happens in the show greatly parrllels what would happen in real life. And this isn't just an Israeli, Palestinian thing. You could make this argument for 10s of different events in the world's history.

Markus

Same here, luckily it's used in a later scene as well.

hena

appreciate this comment! you can definitely make so many different parallels because it really is a reflection of our history

Aras Paty

This is definitely a lot of information to take in.

OG Phat1

Love the long post episode commentary, definitely needed for these episodes to make sure you pick up on everything

Kaelah

There are so many different things about the lore that is super confusing and is very difficult to wrap your head around. It wasn't until I read the AOT wiki that I truly comprehended what the hell was happening. So prepare to get even more confused tbh xD

Tkdmegs

Yeah! From left to right it’s Jack/ Jackson, Cannon, Carter, McKay, then Briggs!

Tkdmegs

It really was! It doesn’t help that they’re related (right?😂🤔)

adam

W discussion! i've watched this show's reaction like many times but never got bored of it, GOAT storyline

A few little details that you might have missed and that foreshadow this plot twist, back in S2 when the scouts were staying at "Utgard Castle" we saw the scouts finding certain items which had another language they were not familiar with written on them, Ymir found a can of what she said was "herring" and she was able to identify it instantly. Herring is also a sea water fish which they could not be able to get in the world "we know". In this scene we also saw Reiner exposing him self to Ymir which is why the scene was made so dramatic. They both revealed to each other that they were from the other civilization. Also back in S2, Ymir uses the word "Monkey" or in japanese "Kanji" referring to the beast titan. We then hear Eren repeating what Ymir said but he says "katakana" which shows us that he doesn't understand what she was talking about. Eren doesn't know what a monkey is but Ymir, Reiner and Bertholdt did. In S3 when the scouts return to Shiganshina, Armin sees 3 cups and a coffee grinder with "black liquid" as he called it because he couldn't identify it. Back in Reiner's flashback where we saw Marcel being eaten by Ymir we also saw a coffee grinder. The Beast Titan or Zeke uses baseball terms as we saw in the episode called "Perfect Game" which the humanity we know of have not even invented. Grisha was also easily able to cure the disease which spread inside the walIs as we saw in the flashback when Keith Shadis met Grisha. This shows us that the place Grisha comes from is way more advanced medically. Back in Ymir's flashback as well we see what looks like a more advanced civilization with more modern architecture than we know of. The soldiers also wear clothes much more advanced than the people in the walls. Basically the clues that there weren't only humans on the inside the walls were right in front of us the entire time. The foreshadowing is literally out of this world. - Copied comment

The term “Palestinian-Israeli” conflict doesn’t really reflect what’s actually going on, one would have to call it “freedom fighters-occupational forces“ conflict since that’s the fact of the matter. Palestinians and jews lived happily in the same country for centuries and it was only after zionists forced people out of their homes, and occupied their lands has this become a conflict

Ben Crawford

Also, no, Ymir isn't Ymir. That's not a spoiler also; they don't really go into it. The guy who found her just named her Ymir to fit his agenda of making her "royal" like the OG Ymir.

Darth Demetrius

I liked your comment about how the past three seasons feel somewhat "diminished" now that you know the bigger story. I think that was the point, that every person's story is just a part of the whole, but that doesn't make it any less meaningful. Moving into S4 (which I hear you've already started), as the perspective shifts, I think we're meant to take away that every person's experience and story is equally important. And, that we ought to take a step back to see the bigger picture, rather than vilifying the "other".

Damonyang

Attack on titan has much better storytelling, world building, nothing current Marvel has now

Sapirhr

As an Israeli, I completely agree! This entire cycle of hatred is never- ending, I mean, at this exact moment the country is burning from Palestinians “revenge terror attacks” that follow by Jewish revenge terror attacks and so on. It’s a cycle that is repeating itself. Plus, I’m very sorry for the racism you had to endure, this is a very important matter that should be spoken much more. It’s really a shame that the ones who have to face all the consequences are the citizens and the Palestinian and Jewish communities, as it’s a political issue that causes a lot of hatred based on your race. I had many experiences myself with having to speak English while traveling since we experience violence when others recognize we speak Hebrew and are Israeli, same with anything that can indicate that we are Jewish. I really hope one day this will be over and we can all live peacefully

That’s incorrect but I’m not going to open a discussion abt it in their comment section😭. That’s a very convenient way of thinking tho

Can someone please explain one thing to me I’m still confused about? Is Ymir Eldian? And if she’s not how come she was able to transform into a Titan? It’s stated that only Eldians can turn into titans.

Now you know guys the answer to Eren's question 'Why was my mother eaten?' BRO BECAUSE EX WIFE WAS STILL BITTER AF THAT SHE JUST HAD TO EAT THE NEW WIFE LOLOLOL

Pony

yeah I was hoping they'd pick up on this. especially considering the island of Paradis looks just like Madagascar, which would parallel the Madagascar plan to ship the Jewish population off to the island the same way eldians are shipped to Paradis

Pony

"Eren is just a variable in his plan" weeeeeellll..... "his step mom ruined his life" WEELLLLLL.....

Hard to believe that eldians were able to decimate other nations for centuries upon centuries with the power of their titans, and yet these other countries are still able to advance and develop technology that can bring the age of titans to an end. With Eldia dominating other nations for that long, they never should have been able to make it out of the dark ages.

i think why the nape is still the weak spot even if there's no real human there with regular titans, is because thats probably the main spinal cord weak spot aswell
