kind of an L reaction at times, from making inappropriate jokes while Arneid is talking to Gardar, seeing Arneid crying and in response chuckling and joking, and then later again when she cries after talking to Thorfinn cringing and saying "i don't like women cry". goofy

I don't believe it's confirmed in any way but there are theories that snake is originally from the byzantine empire. hence the whole "I can tell that sword isn't from around here" just thought it was an interesting theory.

is it just me or gardar's character felt a bit forced sometimes, they add a random character in the middle of an arc just to add salt into the wound, i know that he's important for thorfin's development but it's hard to really sympathize for him because if only he didn't go to the war all that mess would never happen, also snake and his men were just doing their job, the real victim is arnheid because she didn't choose to be in that situation, it's a tragic situation nonetheless

Damn Brigg, God forbid Einar feels empathy for a woman that's married. If she has a man then it's off limits and he can't fulfil his own desires and needs with her yknow. What Einar is feeling is true love for a woman that made his days better in this hell. I understand not being a simp and thinking logically about his own situation, but Einar has a greater emotional intelligence than you guys seem to grasp

I agree with you... I haven't really been able to understand some of the reactions to the Einar-Arnheid dynamic among the fanbase! Some have said that she is leading him on, when it is clearly shown that she answers all of Einar's questions truthfully and Einar and Thorfinn are fully aware of her situation. Then some say that she did not tell Einar that she was married or her past. Now, I have not been enslaved in my life, but I can understand that Arnheid may not wish to speak of her past because it brings back horrific memories (she could have been raped after her village was captured, and not ever wish to speak about it). Even remembering her previous life with her husband and child may be very painful for her. She even tells Einar not to do anything reckless in Garder's situation, but instead takes the burden entirely upon herself. And then, they call Einar a simp - which is beyond ridiculous! As you rightly pointed out, Einar feels empathy and considers her a close friend. Is it really so bad to wish for the best for a close friend with no personal rewards? They have known each other for years at this point! Einar is a true friend not just to Thorfinn but also to Arnheid. I cannot help but feel disgusted every time some people always remark at how Einar is a simp, or what are his chances of 'scoring' with Arnheid. I guess that's what love means to people now, how you can 'score' with a woman, as if she is a game to be played with, and not putting the welfare and wellbeing of others over oneself. I actually admire Einar very much! Since he knows there is no escape for Arnheid from her situation, he is so determined to help her escape with her husband and live a better life!

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you! I understand that watching fights is more exciting, but even I was irked with their reaction to Arnheid. I think knowing her story makes the audience connect with her, which pays off in the future. But if you refuse to connect with her during her parts of the story, then you cannot complain in the future that you don't care about her, when the writer has clearly made attempts for you to know her so that you can care for her character.

Exactly guys, and I know Brigg is joking in the next batch they uploaded but saying that because Gardar now is dead Einar now has a chance was so off putting for me like cmon man. Then them getting angry at Arnheid for some reason when Gardar was choking Snake was also a wtf moment for me. Like damn women can't do shit apparently even when they've been sexually enslaved and lost everything

Yeah I think what’s important to remember is that everyone takes sad and Intense moments differently and some of us react in a joking way to ease the mood, we definitely try to put ourselves in the moment in every show we watch and make our reactions as authentic as possible but sometimes after a long day we try to make the mood happier and it clashes with the show.

For me Gardar shows just how terrible war and slavery is. How much it can change a person to be unrecognizable. Also how he was so focused on one thing that he lost so much. Similar to Thorfinn. I liked seeing Gardar and Arnheid’s story

Invincible is so sick, too bad you've all seen it else it'd make for a great reaction series. I'd suggest Castlevania, Blood of Zeus, or Dragon's Dogma since they've all got amazing animation and are absolutely epic at certain parts (Castlevania all throughout, it's the AOT of western 'anime')
