OKAY this may be a plot hole and wanted other people's thoughts on this. The Earth King told the fake Kyoshi warriors about the invasion, and then we see later Ba Sing Se is overthrown by Azula and the generals are captured. Isn't it really odd they are still going through with the invasion without thinking their plan is already leaked? The Earth King failed to tell anyone he leaked the invasion, but even so, all the generals and documents are seized, someone should've pointed out the invasion plan probably isn't a surprise anymore. Yet everyone's acting like Azula/Ozai/etc are still in the dark about the surprise attack lol

I don’t think it’s a plot hole in the strict sense because there are readily plausible explanations as to why events occurred as they did. In other words, there is no outright contradiction.

Yes and no. The Team Avatar gang is relying on the idea that the Fire Nation believes the Avatar is dead and no longer a threat. With the Earth Kingdom gone as well, the invasion plan is much harder to do. They're betting on the Fire Nation not considering a smaller invasion happening, and that they won't expect Aang to show back up.
