Gintama is so fire it’s a long running show overshadowed by the big 3 but its peaks are just as good imo. Gintama is like the funniest anime and has so many references and parodies from other shows like the big 3 and even attack on titan lmao. It’s so random and comedic but then also has some of the best emotional arcs in anime that have those high ratings which are very deserved. It’s so underrated but it’s def a show where a person would enjoy it more if they have watched a good amount of anime first in order to get the references more. My bad, I don’t like writing huge ass comments but I gotta represent a lil bit for Gintama 😂🙏🏽❤️‍🔥

honestly it's getting a bit agitating to hear brigs opinions over and over again, I think his taste is strictly shonen focusing on fights and simple characters over story. No disrespect that's a completely valid opinion and taste to have. Gintama is mentioned? Oh, let me buckle in. The best Anime to ever exist, it has the best comedy, the best story, the best everything. It's not a comedy Anime, it's more like a parody Anime, but at the same time, it's really serious at times, the perfect combination of everything, highly recommend for everyone that hasn't watched Gintama yet, Gintoki the OG Goat, that's all.

I appreciate the varied taste represented on the couch - and I’m half convinced that Brig trashes DN mostly to get the “anime haters” to come out and defend an anime 😂 🧠 Also I completely agree on DN and AoT to be great gateway anime to a lot of people. I would put FMAB somewhere up there too though, especially to people that already watched and liked ATLA.

I think what makes fmab a harder sell is the comedy of the show, and the pacing of that comedy. What makes aot so good as an entry is how seriously it takes itself

Death note was actually the first anime my brother watched! He was intrigued by the bad Netflix adaptation and fell in love w the original anime. I always get chills when Roy gets confronted by the higher ups. I'd probably shit myself and die on the spot 💀
