the "filler' is so important to the characters I dont know why you guys dont like them? like what episodes do you consider "filler" because besides maybe a handful, the rest are the reason the show is as good as it is and its also why a solely action/plot driven adaptation will not translate well

Maybe it helps if you think of it as you would of a fanfiction? (at least it helped me seperating the two) It still is a adaptation, not a remake or a copy. Thinking of it as more of a remix would be a better and healthier take. (And it works for me, it keeps me curious as in like "oh how did they do this or this and how do they combine that and oh, thats interesting!") So so far, I really really like it. Yes, it is fast paced, but thats a given when Netfilx is only allowing 8 eps. So I think they really made the best out of it and still kept the spirit of the show. Also... the acting? I absolutely LOVE Zuko and Irohs dynamic, especially in later episodes. Iroh not answering Aang with the typical "fire nation propaganda" to why they started this war ( to share prosperation and stuff) hints to me personally, that Iroh is already acively working against the fire nation, behind the scenes in his own way. With him stating the beliefs of citizens of the earth kingdom or the water tribes, he hints at the layers of his own beliefs that are laying underneath. at least that how I understood it. Back to Zuko... Dallas does such a good job of portraying the banished prince. He is desperate but has his heart at its right place. Also, he did such a good perfomance in playing his character as the teenager he is. And I dont know how you see it, but season 1 Zuko kinda was goofy and hilarious :D I also like Sokka a lot, the acting still embodies Sokkas key elements but its toned down to suit the darker undertones this show establishes. Aang is nice too, him and Zukos scenes are all really good. the only thing Im kind of disappointed about is, how Kataras anger/temper is... just not really there? Thats some wasted potential, sadly, but thats the writers fault, not the actresses. I especially like the new additions they made, like in the beginning with the caught spy of the earth kingdom, and that they actually showed the genocide. All in all, I really like this show and I hope they announce a season 2 soon!

I was waiting for you guys to finished the whole thing but it'll be a while so I watched it now. It seems that Jack doesn't appreciate the live action series so MOST LIKELY he never seen the AVATAR 2010 MOVIE, do me a favor and watched it on your own time. MAYBE JUST - JUSSSTTTTT "MAYBE" you'll learn how to appreciate things.. they did amazing here and casting are 70% so on point (not all) to the character animated version of themselves.. FYI; This is an 8 episodes of Book 1: Water NOT 24 episodes from the anime so they need to do this on NETFLIX version. They ARE NOT trying to COPY THE EXACT movements, events, words, etc. they're doing this 70% animated 30% netflix live action. I love avatar and seeing how some of you can't see and appreciate how close this is to the actual one is just.. Does anyone know if they watch 2010 version last airbender?.. seems like some of them haven't.. OTHER REACTORS like the netflix version cause they've watched 2010 movie avatar, SEEING THE DIFFERENCE made them like this one better because the movie actually suckkeddd.. like literally the highlight of the movie was, 8 grown (men) earth benders bending one SMALL pebble.. Cannon's was the GOATED on this one, stating "if you watch this live action on it's own right.. It's actually pretty good rather than comparing the impossible - anime version.." WATCH THE - 2010 - VERSION..😤let's see what you guys think!!! The dislike reaction to this show is so triggering.. and I have to watch reaction episode 2 now, gahhd!
