Culture/Gaming Historica | Inside Namco Wonder Eggs Theme Parks [Part One] (Patreon)
Content
Last month we talk all about the Galaxian 3 game that started at Expo '90 and went into Namco's Wonder Eggs theme park in Setagaya, Tokyo. And then later became arcade experience to be play all over the world! 🤗
Now let us take a tour inside Namco's Wonder Eggs theme park and see the sight! Even you might see the name change to Wonder Eggs 2 and 3, actually there is only one park. The park was open first in February 1992 and then in 1996 was updated and change the name to Wonder Eggs 2. This happened again in 1999 and renamed to Wonder Eggs 3. But all are the same place. It was closed in December 2000 and the whole park was totally destroyed. 😑
Inside it had many rides. Last month we look in detail at the famous 28 player Galaxian 3 ride, but here there was also Tower of Druaga ride and waterways as well as including giant game centres to play arcade games!
Wonder Eggs was the first ever theme park opened by a game company! Interesting! This is before Sega or Nintendo open any Theme park before.
