Content
This is the final part of our Sega Hard Girls and the Console History of Sega! Thank you for following!
Number Sixteen: Sega Dreamcast VMU (November 1998) | Sumire Uesaka
The Dreamcast had many interesting feature like the internet connection that let you go online. One feature Sega created was the VMU: Visual Memory Unit. This was like a memory card that had a screen and even though it save your game information, could even download tiny games to be played on it! .. and those games could even be connected to play two-player.
It would fit inside the controller where the screen could be see at all times. it was a very cool idea and a shame more software was not make for it.
Information: This month is all about the Sega Hard Girls! Characters who representing Sega's home hardware history since the beginning. Each girl is a human representation of a certain piece of Sega's history and even includes some accessories like the Dreamcast VMU.
The Sega Hard Girls started in Dengeki Bunko Magazine as a collaboration with Sega. And they were very popular. Now they even have animated shows and figures about them that you can buy!
We will look at each one in the chronologicals order from the beginning to the end. These info cards were originally low quality and I have upscaled them to be more clear!
