It's Halloween month!! So now is good time to look at the detail information about Namco's Splatterhouse LCD handheld game from 1988. This was the time when LCD game were popular toy for kids to play at school and on subways. Splatterhouse was arcade popular so Namco decide making one the same. They also did Pac Man  and other LCD games.

Interesting thing for the retro history lover:

This game was made by a company called Varie. It is not a company name I see often when research for retro gaming.. ! But there is one game I remember this company did because it is famous rare on Super Famicom: Undercover Cops ! 

This was very good version of the arcade game by Varie and the only home version ever release. Maybe you remember the box::

I never played Splatterhouse but I do remember the game in arcades. My parents didn't let me go to the arcades until Street Figther 2 was out :D

I didn't know any Splatterhouae LCD!! What a gem!!! I love Underovers cops and the chance to grab parts of the stage to hit the enemies!!

I never knew about any Splatterhouse LCD either. I unfortunately never played Splatterhouse because I never had a Turbografx 16.

Very cool and fun Sisi;growing up I had something similar to an LCD and the game I had was Double Dragon๐ŸŽฎ
