Just a clarification on the unhomed/unhoused, thing. The reason people are changing the phrasing is because a person can be without a house but still have a community that can be their home. It’s the perception of belonging or not (think, I feel at home here) or being unhoused meaning I don’t have a house to keep my stuff from blowing away, robbed or rained on.

You guys will read a transcript or a headline about Trump and give him the benefit of the doubt when if you just watch the video, it's really clear the intent. I know you're not Trump defenders, but it was really obvious his "Nikki Haley" wasn't a slip of the tongue since he said it three times in a row over a ten second period with a pregnant pause after he said Nikki Haley the first time. It wasn't a slip of the tongue, it's his brain having a mini-stroke

Funny thing about the "bloodbath" bit, if China made cars in Mexico and tried to sell them in the US, that would be A-OK because of the NAFTA 2.0 that Trump negotiated! It was Biden that said EV cars had to meet strict standards for manufacturing and sourcing of materials to get full government rebates. And Trump's trade war with China basically screwed over US farmers and required another round farmer subsidies ("but keep your Communism out of our country!"). At least some farmers who voted for Trump remember how they were screwed over and won't for him again.

One of the right's tactics is to divide the LGBTQ community. You will find token LGB conservatives (Dave Rubin) that betray part of the community, saying "LGB are sexualities, but TQIA are all sexual deviations and choices." What morons like Rubin ignore is asexual is a sexuality, not a choice, and intersex is a genetic difference in sex development, also not a choice nor a sexual deviation. What jerks like Rubin fail to realize is that he's only a star of the right because he's gay and says shit they like. He also doesn't realize that they hate him as much as transpeople. As soon as he is no longer useful, they will turn on him. I half suspect that Rubin is grifting them as much as they are using him.
