I have read Dr. Hafer’s book and it’s fantastic. I often make reference to it when I’m talking to the occasional creationist. I will say I’m enthusiastic to see what will come of the Axolotl genetics but rest assured, the crazies will come out and try to fuck it up for all of us. Just like with covid, the howler contingent or the “outrage brigade” as Seth says, of the religious zealots will revolt and fight against it.

I had axolytl for a while and one lost a leg and it grew back like Deadpool’s legs grew back - like a tiny little arm that became a big arm … Science is the only reason they still exist - the one lake they are from in Mexico is too polluted for them to live in … scientists have also given them glow in the dark skeletons - so if you ever get a couple for pets get light colored ones that are GFC … they don’t love it but if you put a black light up to them their skeletons glow … they are super easy to take care of as long as you can keep their water cool enough - I got rid of mine because I felt like they weren’t cool enough inside in the summer …

I'm thinking of getting a Medic-alert bracelet that says "I'm allergic to Catholic Hospitals." It's bad enough that healthcare is so expensive, why should the Catholic church get part of that money?
