Hi everyone, So we are nearing a milestone here but we wanted to talk to our patrons about it. The $1,000 milestone is for our show to produce 2 shows a week. The first thing is that while it says we are nearing $1,000, we actually are about $100 away still. On the backend we can see how many pledges go through and there are some declined pledges. We aren't complaining here - we get that there will be shifts in support, but the problem is that patreon doesn't accurately report the amount. Secondly, and more importantly, we actually think that our show quality would decline if we produced two a week. During our two show weeks we spend a lot of time on the podcast, if that were every week, the show's energy would probably drop. So we are thinking about what we could replace with the $1,000 milestone that would actually be a worthwhile goal while improving the show. We have gotten tons of feedback that people really love it when we record shows when we are both in Gloryhole studios. People really enjoy the energy we have when we record in the same space. We are thinking of changing the $1,000 milestone to recording together in gloryhole studios at least once a month. It is a pain in the ass for me to get out to Tom to do it, but we think that the show would improve a bit and listeners would benefit. We are also considering adding some other close milestones too. We are thinking of a possible google hangout every couple of months. We are also thinking of making a specific patron only show (that would never be released) every few months. We will also have some changes to patron level donors soon too, and we will let you know when that gets implemented. So I am planning on changing this milestone today. I just want to let you all know what we were planning.

One podcast a week is plenty for me. You guys rock

You boneheads do what you feel is right for you... I donated to be along for the ride and listen. I like the way it is now, and don't want you burning out... GH

I am actually way behind on listening to you guys due to getting sucked into a mesmerizing audio book series, so extra shows would only make it harder to eventually catch up. I am all for quality over quantity. I do absolutely love the idea of Patron-only shows, because at the moment, we only have occasional bonus content and the threat of personal hugs as "rewards" (unless you're one of those rich bastards who can afford T-shirt level donations). Also, I am confident I could get a free hug anyway, were I to approach either of you with outstretched arms and a low-cut top. Count me in as one who prefers the shows recorded while you're both in the same room.

Kathy Colwell

You`re only short by 6.47 now. That didn`t take long! I`m good with one a week BTW. You have jobs, you know. And wives. And a life.

Peg Gee

Count me in the "quality over quantity."

Rob Caufield

I appreciate that you are considering show quality in your decisions. I'm with you no matter what you decide. Thanks for explaining.

Coma Ecliptic

No problem at all with you changing the milestone.

Dave F

Makes sense. I like the sound of patron only shows too.

Max Winfrey

Sounds good to me. Glory-fucking-hole

I love the idea of a hangout and patron shows. You guys make my favourite podcast and I donate to keep you in good beer and proper chicken wings. Glory Hole!

Freakshow808

If I had the ability to, I'd fund it all myself. Love your work. I tried listening to #1 it was horrible, but you guys kick ass now. Glory hole!

While my quality of life would vastly improve at work if I had more Cognitive Dissonance to listen to, I'd much rather have quality of content than quantity. Besides, with the current release schedule, every joke about Idaho is just that much more precious; not heard too often, nor too little.

Buz Carter

yup! 100% on board with keeping the current anti-burnout schedule

Marie Smith

I'm pleased with the current schedule. I'd like to see the occasional patron only show, just because I know you would make it extra outrageous, which is why we listen in the first place. Also, another picnic would be fun. Some place warm this time. My toes are still numb. Gloryhole!

Tom Hail

Likewise from me... quality over quantity. And if somehow you and your wives ended up in Hawaii for a week, awesome.

Jo Bischof

This sounds good - I am amazed at how much work you guys put into this show and we as listeners really can't ask for more. I personally donate just as a way to show my appreciation for what you already do, not with the expectation of getting more. GH

Rachel Shields

I agree with Johanna Bischof (too lazy to type out my own appreciation). Glory hole mother fuckers.

Adrienne

Love when you are in the studio together. Those episodes always leave me in stitches. I think these milestones are very reasonable and I'm pumped. GH
