I'm not entirely sure that faith in Nancy Pelosi is justified, I'm also fairly certain that being impeached is not the same as getting fired (apologies if I misunderstood).

There's one problem with the "let's wait him out" tactic. He nominates judges.

I'm on the other side of the pond, but from here it looks like if Congress doesn't impeach, then you no longer follow your constitution. You won't have co-equal branches of government. Deal with that now, or you will lose the ability to do so.

On the global climate catastrophe story, I wonder if a new "The Day After" movie would be enough to shock people into action. I think you're a bit younger than me, and it was touchy for me to watch it with my folks at age 9 in 1983, so you might not recall the power of that movie. It was fucking nightmare fuel. 62% of the American viewing audience watched a movie that accurately portrayed the reality of nuclear war, and it was all people talked about for days after. I think it brought the horror of a nuclear exchange into stark reality for people. And people reacted, pushing for further and more aggressive disarmament talks. Climate change isn’t a discrete event like hundreds of warheads detonating, and the immediate impacts are harder to predict, so maybe a similar approach wouldn't work, but I'd love to see something, anything!, shock a staid public into action, myself included.
