I know you guys have not covered the Canadian kids graves deliberately because of maybe doing a deep dive. Here's something I found on Pharyngula (to be clear, presented as the truly evil thing it is) as a defence of the RCC. The head/tagline are 'The meaning of the Native Graves. They're good actually'. What struck me is that there is a faint air of puzzlement about what the big deal is. No denial of it as a crime and no rationalization of it as there is not even acknowledgement of it as a moral horror. Truly frightening that not only could one person think this way, but also the amount of eye balls it had to pass by thinking the same before someone hit publish on it. I guess it might be helpful when discussing it to get a glimpse of the mindsets at work here on the evil side of the fence. I was thinking about the anti-Vaxers you referenced in your show. I’ve thought about this for some time, and have wondered if this is Evolution through Natural Selection playing out. I feel like a total asshole saying it, but this doesn’t negate any truth to it. I mean, I can safely assume that anti-vaxers are going to die at a disproportional rate than vaxed people. Their lineage will die with them, thus resulting in less of their genes being passed on to subsequent generations. I don’t think there is any evidence to show that people today are more intelligent than people of multiple generations past, but I wonder if this is one way the human species continues to evolve. Any thoughts?
