So funny that you said someone who lacks critical thinking could probably be a good engineer. One of my work friends believes the trump garbage, but is honestly a good engineer.

Do you have a source for “conspiracy theorists lack critical thinking?” It sounded like you were talking about an article or study, but I didn’t see a link. Would love to know more. I thought this kind of thinking had a lot to do with our social circle and the information in our bubble—isn’t that part of why it’s so insidious?

I read sometime back on law enforcement seizing property. At that time, in some jurisdictions the law enforcement officer was personally allowed to keep up to 25% of the value of the property seized. If that alone isn't an incentive enough to fabricate reasons to seize personal property, imagine adding the ability to fuck over an enemy or rival.
