We almost accidentally did the right thing. Yes, but if we took care of our citizens, they wouldn't turn to the church for help. Then what? *Sarcasm*

The one thing about 2nd is every single wingnut supporter never quotes the entire Amendment*. There are 27 words, but only 14 words are ever spoken. Barely just over half, i.e. mediocrity. If you told your child "After you clean your room, you can eat some cake," and they run into the kitchen and get cake, sure as shit, you're going to pull them up short. Their response will be, "You said, 'you can eat some cake.'" You have to have training and a license to drive a car, which is more essential to life than a gun, but anyone can buy a gun with no training, experience or knowledge. Between that and all the mass and school shootings, it's no wonder everyone thinks Americans are gun nuts. * The sole exception was the very first time I spoke about this with a friend, a Master Sergeant in the Special Forces, in 1991 while I was in the army. He was the only person that ever quoted the entire thing. To my protests, his response was, "SCOTUS has always interpreted that the people are the militia." Sure, when people were raised to use and respect guns. Scary today. The vast majority of the people have never shot a gun (hence, they aren't the militia), and there are too many who have that shouldn't be allowed to hold a gun, and this was with military training. Every time we went to the shooting range, there was always at least one safety infraction. One idiot accidently jammed his loaded M16 into my friends neck. Fortunately the safety was on.

I question whether putin learned anything from the rat. Generally, rats are aiming to jump past the threat to escape, not to fight the big monster. They also can't see very well at all past about 6 inches.

I’m late to this episode; in fact, I’m very far behind and trying to play catch-up. I didn’t intend to leave comments on these older episodes but I was compelled to make a comment on this one. Just an FYI to Tom & Cecil: PLEASE don’t bother wasting your time or sanity on Ryan (the doofus with the extremely rigid and insanely wrong opinions re: 2A) and his imbecilic comments. Ryan has left various other comments, pertaining to various topics, on previous CogDis podcast episode threads. His attitudes, opinions, perspectives, and views, when his comment trends and content are reviewed cumulatively, provide a great deal of evidenced insight into Ryan’s deeply held belief system. Ryan is very much right wing. I don’t think he’s gone all the way to the QAnon end of the spectrum, and he may not yet be a fully developed (devolved?) Tea Party Republican, but he’s definitely working on getting himself. He’s seriously a giant PITA. Idk why ppl like that come to a podcast like this if they’re not truly interested in becoming better educated, or even more self aware. Ryan is interested in neither. Basically, Ryan is a troll who is trying hard to pretend not to be a troll, hoping his subtlety will allow his troll-status to stay under the radar. Except he’s not been as successful at his game as he may have thought. I recognized him as a troll months ago, but I hoped I was wrong. I wasn’t. Trolls are so baffling to me. Like seriously, what rational, sane person has the time to engage in such pointless idiocy? Seriously, Ryan … get a real life, please. Direct your energies into something that’s actually useful and productive; something that’s helpful to others, challenging to yourself, offers personal growth and a chance to leave this world a better place than you found it. Trolling is a huge waste of time, energy, and resources. Giving attention to to trolls is an even worse waste of those same resources. Please don’t give Ryan any more of yours, guys. *This has been a personal FYI Notice to Cecil & Tom, and has been a PSA to all CogDis Patrons who are authentic fans is the show. I know I’m not the only one who has identified Ryan as a troll.*
