Gloryhole you deplorable assholes! Comment about Obama/Democrats being in power for 8 years. No, they had the Senate with a filibuster proof majority until Kennedy died in the fall of 2009, nine months. They lost the House in the 2010 elections so really had controlling power up to January 2011. The GOP played a blocking game from day one of Obama's Presidency. With the Tea Party threatening to "Primary" anyone they didn't like, there was no compromise, consensus building impossible. With all the fucking hate for Obama, even killing Ben Laden wasn't good enough.
