Not a veterinarian but I have owned reptiles, rats, birds, etc... it is actually very difficult to find an exotic vet sometimes. Even finding one to spay and neuter my rabbits required driving to another state. They don't all do everything but they sometimes specialize.

Louisiana resident here. I have to agree that New Orleans is a hot mess. Not a single level surface anywhere in the city. The quarter is perpetually gross, and parking is a nightmare. They have some good museums though.

In the '80s, friends of my parents flew out to CA, their first time on the West Coast. They wanted to see San Francisco, specifically Castro Street. My parents obliged. While driving down Castro Street, their friends, who were extremely conservative, were shocked and horrified by what they saw, men walking hand-in-hand, kissing, and lesbians. My parents were surprised by their reaction and asked why they wanted to see Castro Street. It was recommended to them by a friend of theirs. My dad said, "Your friend played a prank on you."
