All right! This is loosely based on the 1990 film "(La Femme) Nikita". The original was in French, then they made an Australian-influenced TV series version in 1997 starring Peta Wilson. They then made a US -based version of the TV show in 2010 starring Maggie Q. There was also a US movie made in 1993 called "Point of No Return" starring Bridget Fonda which was an Americanized version of the original French movie.

As for your question at the end. I think Alex is the more natural beauty but that's not to say Nikita is bad looking. She has a great body and she has a pretty face. Alex is just on another level. Oh, and while Nikita may be the title character her and Alex are co-main characters. If you watch more you'll see them flesh out both characters rather quickly. It actually is more centered around Alex's story this season. Nokia happens to be the title character because it is based off of other movies and tv shows that show her while in division.

This is a show that I hope can be continued as reactions sometime in the future. Unfortunately, I know with all the shows you are doing and plan to do that it may be a year or more before you can add it.

I love this show. It's so underrated. And to answer your question, I think the actress that plays Nikita (Maggie Q) is gorgeous, but I can understand why she may not appeal to everyone. She has a more unique look IMO. Alex, aka "How I Met Your Mother" girl (Lyndsy Fonseca), is more of the typical beauty. Maggie Q is trained in martial arts and she does all of her own stunts, which is always a plus on a show like this. And I totally agree with you about Melinda Clarke. She is perfect for the role of Amanda.

I always thought that Maggie Q was too skinny for my tastes, but she seemed tough and fit the role. Lyndsey (HIMYM Girl) is much more attractive in my mind.

I think Maggie Q is uniquely attractive and sexy, the fact that she actually knows martial arts and does a lot of the action herself is a plus. She trained under Jackie Chan, so, there's that. Nikita isn't really supposed to be the most attractive, she is just the best at what she does. And, again, sexy. I do agree that Lyndsy Fonseca is a natural beauty.
