James had been playing the latest game for hours, his eyes glued to the screen as he accumulated enough resources for the coveted random character draw. The gacha mechanism had become a hit in entertainment games, promising rare and powerful characters to those lucky enough. However, luck was not on James's side. After several attempts, he ended up with nothing but common, unremarkable characters. Frustrated, he yanked off his headset and stormed away from his gaming rig.

The room was dark, save for the faint glow of his computer screen. Dinner had been hours ago, and now seemed like the perfect time to unwind. James collapsed onto his bed, grabbing his phone to scroll through social media. His jealousy spiked as he saw his friends posting about their incredible luck, flaunting the super characters they had drawn.

Determined to find a way to beat the system, James searched online for cheats. He stumbled upon a notorious forum filled with discussions about game exploits. One post caught his eye: a shady application promising to manipulate the draw mechanism. Desperate, he downloaded and installed it.

The app's interface was straightforward. James entered his account details, selected the game, and enabled the cheat features. The screen displayed a message: "System intervention in progress... Please return in 4 hours and 47 minutes." Satisfied, James minimized the app and drifted off to sleep while watching videos.

A strange sensation woke him hours later. His chest and leg felt wet and sticky. Groggy, James looked down to see a rubber-like substance coating his body. Panicked, he tried to peel it off, but the material clung to him tightly. It was slippery and resistant, snapping back into place whenever he pulled at it.

He reached for his phone to call for help, but to his horror, the same rubbery liquid was oozing from the screen. Desperately, he fought against the spreading substance, but it was no use. The rubber enveloped his entire body, leaving only his face exposed. A mask formed over his features, resembling the main character from the game.

James's struggles became futile as the rubber continued its transformation. Long tubes forced their way into his nose and throat, while a rubbery phallus approached his mouth. He tried to keep his mouth shut, but rubber tentacles pried it open, muffling his screams. The rubber sealed over his face, rendering him mute and immobile.

The voice of Von Lycaon, his favorite character, echoed in his mind. "Thank you for synchronizing with my body." The realization hit James like a punch. The application had done more than he bargained for—it had turned him into a living replica of Von Lycaon.

A robotic voice from his phone announced, "Memories rewritten... 54%..."

James's mind grew foggy. His thoughts, his memories, his identity—they all began to fade. He fought to hold onto himself, but the transformation was relentless.

"Memory status: 100% operational! AI-Core status: 100% synchronized!"

VON-LY-012 blinked its eyes, testing the new body's movements. A squeaky sound accompanied every motion. Satisfied, the synthetic being activated a link with the Inter-Knot. A bright light emanated from the phone, illuminating the room. When the light faded, VON-LY-012 and the phone vanished, leaving no trace of James behind.

In the silence that followed, James's room stood empty, the darkness undisturbed. The game continued to draw players, each one unaware of the fate that had befallen James. The character he had loved so much now roamed the digital world, a perfect copy, while the real James was lost forever, a victim of his own desperation and the perils of unchecked ambition.
