On a cold rainy day, you happen to see a woman in a red trenchcoat, the collar upturned, long black hair plastered to her pretty face.

Well, as far as you can tell; she's wearing a medical mask that covers the lower-half of her face.

She doesn't seem to have an umbrella and with the rain coming down harder and harder, you can't help but feel sorry for her, so you stand just close enough to her to shield her from the rain.

"May I ask you something?" she asks, her voice low and melodic.

You tell her, sure, curious what she would want to know.

"Am I beautiful?" she asks you.

You stare at her for a moment, completely taken aback.

That's not really the sort of thing someone asks a stranger, is it?

She shifts slightly, bringing her even closer to you.

You catch a peculiar scent in the air.

Something sweet...almost artificially so.

Hard...candy?

"Am I beautiful?" she asks again, her eyes almost hypnotizingly beautiful.

You stammer out, "Yes."

Across the street, the signal has changed to WALK but you find yourself paralyzed as the woman begins to slowly pull the straps of her mask from behind her ears.

"Really?" she continues in a low, breathy voice that somehow manages to remind you of the sound of nails raking down a chalkboard.

"Well, how about now?"

Something thick and red just beneath the mask catches the harsh streetlight just overhead.

Suddenly, a wave of panic threatens to sweep you off your feet.

Something is wrong with this woman.

At least...you think it's a woman.

Deep down, in the depths of your soul, you know something is wrong, and you sure as hell aren't going to stick around to see just what lies behind that mask.

Without another word, you sprint away, the only thoughts in your mind that of self-preservation.

Leaving your umbrella behind.

Whelp. I couldn't find a script for today's theme, so I had to write my own, featuring the Kuchisake-Onna, or the Slit Mouthed Woman.
