I really, really wanted to put a Naley thumbnail here, but it felt unfair to Peyton and Lucas, as this is their day. Lol.

Anyway, we get a fairly good wedding. Things seem to be going well. The minister gets held up, but Luke registers Haley as a minister online and she marries them (along with giving a vocabulary lesson). I was super surprised to not see Sam at the wedding. I know she's spending time with her birth mom, but she could have come to wedding.

But, even though Sam doesn't show up, Julian does. Luke invited him because he knew Brooke missed him and was trying to get them back together. However, Luke doesn't let Julian in on that part of the plan and he shows up with a date. Fake Brooke. Not to be outdone, Brooke gets Nick Lachey to be her date. (He's in town recording Haley's song). The two of them play who can make the other one more jealous, while Nathan and Haley have slutty wedding sex in the bathroom,

Eventually, when the wedding is over, she and Julian dance. After a short while, Brooke tells him she can't do this, as she misses him and leaves. I'm guessing this is just too painful for her, as she wants to get back together. Julian, not ready to give up, heads to Clothes Over Bros to talk to her, but it's Victoria he finds. He tells her that he loves Brooke and eventually, she's gonna love him too. And when that happens if Victoria isn't nice to Brooke, she won't be seeing her anymore. And Victoria looks almost...proud?

We also find out that Nino got called up to the NBA, but Nathan didn't. And the team has never had two call ups in the same year. He skipped practice to go the wedding, but also a little bit because he felt like a failure. Haley assures him that isn't the case.

So, we finally get to the crux of the episode. After the wedding, Lucas and Peyton return home where he's filled the house with white rose petals, fairy lights and candles. She's super touched. He tells her it's been a long day and she should get in bed, but asks if she can handle one more surprise. He goes out to the garage to get the Comet ready to show her. But apparently, she couldn't handle one more surprise. When he gets back into the house, like 2 minutes later, the floor is full of blood, and Peyton has collapsed and is unconscious.

Seriously. Writers. Please. Give this woman an easy rest of the series. I'm begging you.

Too bad you couldn't do a split screen thumbnail with a Naley montage and a Leyton one too, hehe. Props to you for being a team player though and wanting to honor Lucas and Peyton on their day.... but man alive the Naley stuff was so strong and powerful this episode, and I think they totally outshined Lucas and Peyton anyways...even on their wedding day, lol. Not that it's a competition or anything, but you certainly had so much amazing material to choose from with Naley. From their reunion on the lake beforehand when Haley was setting up and Nathan first comes home, to their beautiful talk on the bridge, to their flirty banter at the ceremony, to Nathan's somber attitude at the reception which prompts Haley to drag her man into the women's bathroom to cheer him up with slutty wedding sex....yay, go Naley!!!! To their poignant talk at home with them all cuddled up with each other when Nathan tells Haley that his girl was dirty tonight, but he liked it, lol, to him revealing that he's getting tired of failing...before Haley takes him upstairs to show him their son sound asleep with his daddy's jersey on clutching his little basketball to prove once again what true success looks like...awe inspiring for sure!!! So yeah, you can guess why I love this episode so much, lol!!! Haley also rocked the whole minster routine, and the JL's were gorgeous together for sure, and their chemistry was on fire!!! This episode is a top Naley episode for me because it perfectly showcases all the layers to Naley and everything that we love an adore about them as a couple. Besides their amazing chemistry and connection with each other, you get to see them do sweet and flirty, hesitant yet beautiful, full on back-and-forth banter, somber yet poignant, passionate on fire chemistry, and heartwarming family time at the end. We get to see everything that encapsulates Naley in this one episode.....and it really does hold the test of time!!! I've watched those scenes way too many to count over the years, hehe!!! And I too think that Victoria was impressed with Julian's speech at the end. She's probably thinking that finally my daughter has somebody that's willing to stand up and fight for her. I thought their conversation was well done, and the whole back and forth...of course you are, and I feel like I've known you forever was so spot on. Props to Julian for sure!!! Hopefully you get to watch 6x24 soon, so you don't have to wait too long, hehe. Enjoy the finale :)

it’s also understated the growth from Hayley after that nanny Carrie stuff where she now sees her husband low on confidence and her being there and giving him the affection and confidence he didn’t feel while in a wheelchair or during rehab that he got from Carrie which was still wrong and lowkey close to cheating as it gets but her still giving love and support. long story short Naley got this show on they back and Nathan can do no wrong to me rewatching u fighting to hate them in season 1 is so funny
