Resident Evil: Episode XV - Even Deeper (Patreon)

As she slammed the door behind her, Claire took a moment to breathe. The cool breeze from the night sky was light but helped her focus her mind. She had a mission. Jill’s life was in her hands. Yet she still questioned if she’s done the right thing. To leave Jill alone with Ada who she’s only just met. 

Granted their ordeal with the Tyrant, Mr X, proved to be a baptism in fire for their partnership. However something in the back of Claire’s mind kept asking if Ada could even be trusted. 

But it wasn’t the time nor place for questions. The journey to the hospital was going to be long and arduous. Who knows what horrors of the night awaited Claire. 

Making sure to tread carefully to avoid the broken glass underfoot, Claire stepped deeper into the suffocating fog. Although she’d been here before when entering the police station is what felt like a lifetime ago, now the sleepy garden was barely visible. The branches of the trees overhead sticking out of the gloom twisted fingers. 

The eerie silence was broken by muffled sounds in the distance. Claire assumed it was the undead or worse lurking about. Although she was lacking ammunition, Claire was not totally defenceless. 

As she stepped through the garden, cautiously placing each foot on the cold stone so as not to make a noise, the muffled sounds in the distance grew both louder and clearer. At first Claire still could not figure out what she was hearing. However, with each step closer, it sounded like flesh was being torn from bone. 

Stepping through the glood, the horror bled into the foreground. The dead littered the small courtyard. Their rotten remains had been gnawed on and picked by Lord only knows what. Although some of the blood had dried, fresh gashes and bite marks remained. The foul creatures smelt Claire before she could even react…

The aim of this set was speed. I wanted to do something quick and different to make amends for the failed Witcher set at the start of the month. I was aiming for 50 images with this set, but had to cut it slightly shorter as I just could not think of any good poses to do. 

Long time members will know that I’m not a fan of this kind of sets with doggos as I find the options for poses and camera angles to be limiting. However, with that being said, I did learn a lot from this set and I was proud with how I was able to make each pose feel somewhat different despite pretty much being the same. 

Will I do more stuff like this in the future? Yeah, I think I will. Nothing crazy but I’ll probably use it akin to part 13 in my RE series where it will be a part of a larger set with a different character/monster. 

I did learn a lot from this set so moving forward I can use that in future sets when using this rig. But overall I set out everything I planned to with it. I would’ve hoped it could’ve been a tad longer but in the end I spent more time just trying to think of a pose than actually making them. At that point I thought I’d just release the set as it is. Only started this set properly last Thursday so I’m very happy with the quick turnaround.
