Could we have Paul explain why you are retarded?

There is a bug with the imbedded video. It says you need to sign in to view it, but when it opens YouTube it doesn't bring up the video, just the YouTube app. Might be just on mobile, but still.

One very anticlimactic possibility is always left out, when it comes to the Fermi paradox: Maybe interstellar travel just isn't possible on a fundamental technical level, no matter how advanced your civilization is.

Jamal Deemer

Seems likely to me. Maybe the most advanced life out there maxes out at exploring its own solar system.

Frederick Borrell

I thought you guys thought people that believe in aliems were stupid...glad you've come around!

Drew Kurtz

Lowkey might’ve been the best DFF episode you guys have done. Bravo Paul

Zayodadong

One of your best episodes

Really fun episode. I want to make a case to you guys that on some level might feel unintuitive to you, but I think you might be sympathetic to if you give it some thought. With the asexuals not being real thing, I am not so certain that there is some underlying sexuality going on in every single case of asexuality since the mind is odd, but I do think it is plausible that what you say is true about their relationship to their underlying sexual impulses just being different, and in that very literal sense asexual might not be the best term. Thing is though, I think that is kind of irrelevant to what I see as the ultimate utility of these labels. I would never bring this sort of label into question in part because I don't see it as my business to be investigator and determine whether or not someone is being fully truthful to me about their internal experience of what they see as their gender or sexuality, because it is both their own journey of self discovery and or liberation to make and also very inconsequential to the people around them. Beyond this though, I think this chaos of a million and one gender and sexuality identifiers were you can often find several that mean exactly the same thing or that don't seem to convey much content or whatever other problems serve functionally to shrink gender and sexuality. The chaos and gender "confusion" that conservatives fear monger about to me is highly desirable. Think about it. If the identifiers we use for gender and sexuality become so varied and highly personal to the point where they are not consistently definable and they shrink to the level of something like fashion or aesthetics, then to me that seems like a soft abolition, which is functionally not that different from a full abolition. By just letting people say whatever the fuck they want about themselves and recognizing it along these lines, we will essentially be working towards a world liberated from the rigid constructs of gender. You might think this is a bit of a double edged sword, but that issue is in every topic like this is. To even acknowledge that there is a gender that needs to be abolished, you yourself participate in and perpetuate gendered thinking, just like when you try to identify and fight racism, (which is good btw for any dumbass who wants to say I am equivocating racism and anti-racism by pointing this out). Its a big difficulty with getting rid of this stuff in that you can't for you or me or even our direct children, but I don't want to get in to all of that. Point is, I just wouldn't even bother going down that road of questioning these identifiers in a public space because it doesn't seem productive.

Most of them are stupid, but there's a grain of truth in it. Now we are witnessing the plausible side of it all.

Great episode! You guys really put out the best content when you love the topic.

I feel such an affinity for Rust from True detective, ive been on that time is a flat circle for awhile now.

I love the alien segment. I definitely had talk about all those theories with friends but my rational mind just spoils the fun. Even though not much surprised me, it was entertaining. Please do a sequel.

I'm making weird laughing noises at TJ messing with his moustache while Paul exponerates upon the depths of human humanness. It's amazing what I pay hundreds of dollars for a year. Not nearly enough in my opinion but times are tough.

Jaron Talotta

Well I've been banned on the DFF, RACE! STATISTICS! that should be enough to ban me here too. Cowards.

Here is a link to an image I harmlessly tried to post to your reddit.

Apparently deep levels of ironic talk are a horror to y'all. Really? The "better safe than sorry" method? Cowards.

Jaron Talotta

I just realized the beauty of PP. But I'm going to keep supporting and watching regardless of your own errors in analysis of me. As Redbar says, "give it a year" but y'all are so clamed up these days. No room for jokes masquerading as truth layered in more joke which may or may not be true. Boring assholes.
