Madeline is not Homelanders mom lol. She's an executive and Homelander's manager. That's all. Remember, they said Homelander was raised in a lab with no mom, no dad, no family at all. So just like 11, the doctor became his father figure and Madeline became his mother figure, but Homelander is a fucked up dude so he also had a sexual desire towards her. Homelander is a psychopath who requires insane amounts of attention and affection as a result of his childhood with zero affection. Madeline loving her baby took some of her affection and attention away from Homelander which is why he was so jealous of that baby. He hated that baby because in his eyes, the baby took Madeline away from him. As for why he killed Madeline, he was tired of her not giving him her full attention, he could no longer trust her, and she admitted to being afraid of him. As soon as she said that, Homelander lost all respect for her. He respects Butcher because Butcher doesn't fear him. He respected the doctor (enough to let him continue living all these years) because the doctor didn't show any fear towards him. Homelander respects the handful of people who aren't afraid of him. He hates weakness. If you want Homelander to kill you, show weakness. He'll kill you where you stand without a second thought. They're just starting to explore Homelander's psyche in season one. You learn a lot more as the show goes on, but only if you pay attention. The show will tell you some things, but a lot of it you need to pick up while watching him and listening to him. It's one of the things that makes him such a great character.

In comic books, super hero's are good guys. They're pure of heart and will sacrifice their own safety to protect others. Superman is the nicest guy and perfect in every way. That's because he's a fictional character in a comic book. If Superman were real, he'd be bought and paid for. Our world would corrupt him. He'd see himself as a god and have an ego to match. He'd likely also have spent the first half of his life in a lab being studied, fucking up his mental development and emotional state. Homelander is what would happen if Superman was in our real world. Most super hero's would take the corporate money, the fame, the love. Add having insane super powers to that mix and you get people like A-Train, Queen Maive, The Deep, and most other super hero's. Very few would be truly good enough to turn all of that down. Starlight is one of those few. She got a look at the corruption behind the scenes and instead of stepping into it and taking the money and the fame, she's still herself with her own values and she's kept her ego in check. All the super hero's in this show are multi-millionaires, maybe even billionaires. They have merchandise, brand deals, movies, personal appearances, and they work for Vaught so they get a pay check on top of all of that. Money corrupts, fame corrupts, ego corrupts.... and they all have a shit load of all of that.

NO! Once again, Black Noir is a satire of Death Stroke and Snake Eyes. NOT BATMAN. People say that, but it makes no sense. He has nothing to do with Batman. There is a character introduced later (mentioned already) named Tek Knight. He is a millionaire dark knight detective. Sound familiar?

Homelander has an Oedipus complex with Stillwell. She's his mother figure but he unconsciously desires her affections and resents all rivals....including her infant. Being created and raised in a lab really screwed him up. He longs for family he will never have.... Through the next few seasons alot will be revealed about Homelander, Butcher and Becca. There's alot to their story. Quite a few new supes are introduced in each season so just wait....it gets interesting. Alot of complex characters and yes, Homelander is a complex character that Anthony Starr plays so well, but to hell with him! He sucks 100%! I'm with the Boys all the way....I say forget those shitty supes....kill em all! (With Starlight and Kimiko being exceptions obviously!) Haley Joel-Osment, Mesmer, is in Sixth Sense and Forrest Gump. He was a really great child actor....and I still think he's pretty great. Thanks for pushing through the sickness and getting this up for us! I've been sick too so I get it! my personal favorite seasons are the 1st and 2nd, they’re kinda interchangeable for me in terms of which one is 1st place, the 3rd season is really damn good but the 4th is unfortunately the weakest one to me but it’s still enjoyable

Her tears, messed up clothes, shaking all over as she left that room- that is a woman who was just sexually assaulted. I think if she was just worried about cheating on her husband, then she would tuck in her shirt. She wanted to get out of that room. IMO, that is.

Homelander just found out about his son & Becca after he said he managed to squeeze the truth out of him. Homelander in the comics actually rapes Becca . He does in this show as well. Let’s not forget homelander doesn’t kill anyone who isn’t afraid of him. He just likes the fact that he gets to have a rivalry such as Billy . He likes when somebody isn’t afraid of him.
