In the book, It is basically explained to be an embodiment of evil itself. Still a little hard to understand. If you're looking for good horror franchises, Mike Flanagan is the master. Haunting of Hill House is amazing, but I thought Midnight Mass was an absolute masterpiece. You've mentioned it before, but From is pretty good too and season 3 just came out I think.

the only movies I have found scary were the original halloween (which you have to watch at some point, top 5 horror movies of all time atleast), the 2018 halloween, and V/H/S

Yeah, like a couple other people mentioned, if you’re asking for clowns, then you gotta do Terrifier. Especially with how well the third one is doing at the box office right now. There’s also an indie horror movie called Clown, that is a fair mix of horror and satire. Fun though.

Oh darlin....the Conjuring is gonna scare you! It's ok....all of those movies are great. Sam and Dean would've finished this in under 49 minutes for sure....but Sam is terrified of clowns, so mostly Dean! Clowns are horrible! Actually, I get so scared of them that on one of my birthday haunted house visits I broke a clowns nose! I was 17 and all my friends and my frigging Mom thought it would be so funny to tell them my name and that it was my birthday. Well, the clown took it upon himself to chase me through it calling my name! I turned around, kneed him in his area and punched him as hard as I could.....needless to say we both ran out screaming covered in blood! It was traumatic! Shew...idk but I bet he never did that again! I kinda felt bad when the ambulance took him but I kinda didn't either! I haven't watched Terrifier yet myself but I'm going to....gotta face my fears I guess! Horror movies that scare me the most are the ones that could possibly happen. Too real for me! Terrifier 3 just came out so perfect time to do Terrifier and Terrifier 2. Creepiest...... clown.... ever. Brutal movies. Also, the horror movie Smile seems to have positive reviews and I hear it's sequel that just came out is doing well too. I've never seen either of them, but I'd be curious to check them out.

Adrian & Don are in the book too, Don talks to the police about what happened and tries to tell them about Pennywise but they don't believe him. Hearing all of it in the book made watching those scenes so much more heartbreaking.

The first guy they showed talking for the reveal of adult Ben was the guy who played Ben as a kid in the tv adaptation. Thought that was really neat.
