I've always been interested in various cryptids like Bigfoot, Mothman, and the Loch ness Monster. I would love for them to be real. I'm still skeptical though, just like you.

In this video you went from cracked in your ridiculous hunt for a fantasy, back to rational when you talk about Bob Mackey’s and all the related televised “haunted” horseshit. I do like the idea of the feces and tuna fish, however. Don’t get me wrong, I like creep and I love folklore/urban legends, but all the Bigfoot lore has worn out its welcome. Anywho, I loved the little glimpse of Mama! 🧸💜

Wdym "all the Bigfoot lore"? He does a video on Bigfoot or series maybe once every couple years, or makes brief mention amidst hours worth of other content. Unless you're speaking more generally, in which case, agreed, the public seems fixated on largely hyperbolic stories which has left us with bafflingly stupid television (that does have its place as a humour watch, tbh)

IMO the true heart of a "Creeps and Monsters" type documentary is always the people who are adjacent to the phenomenon. If there's someone who's made their entire identity about portals in Taos, or being abducted by a UFO full of Bigfoots, or whatever, THAT'S the solid gold and not the phenomenon itself. Like the best part of the Aileen Wuornos documentary is the folks at the bar, and the best part of the seance is obviously Babette. Dan is a lot better at getting these people to open up than I would be. There's a fine line between taking it too seriously and mockery that he's good at walking.

Yes, I’m speaking of the world as a whole (or at least North Americans). I never thought that would be confusing. I agree that, at least for a little while, gullible people can be fun to watch, but whatever their passion — cryptids, ghosts, or god(s) — stupidity gets tiresome.
