Anyone else jump at the 5:20 mark? Haha.

You guys MUST follow Dillon on Instagram, his photos are absolutely beautiful: https://www.instagram.com/dillondegen/

Great footage. Just curious, is Dan shooting this entire thing with an Iphone, tablet, gopro, or some other kind of camera? Whatever he's using, it looks great, and he makes it look easy. I know its a stupid question, but I'd appreciate it if someone could let me know. I suddenly never recall seeing what he is shooting with. Thanks!

Joey

I can’t believe Marley Station Mall is still open

iggyb

Wow. That's what I suspected but I couldn't quite believe it myself. Thanks for confirming.

Renee

OH NO not the 3 day worn panties guy! I just got him out of my head! 🤣

Bentstrider Nittoni

Sit down Sbarro??? First time I've seen that. That's a feast right there!! Looking at jumping on the Polaroid myself.

Dan your video made me remember a lost mall from my childhood: the Blue Ridge Outlet Center in Martinsburg, WV. I remember going there as a kid with my parents for things like clothes and shoes. It had once been an old textile mill that was converted into shops and for a time was very popular with shoppers from the D-M-V area until the Hagerstown Outlet Mall opened and stole most of their clientele. Not much of it remains (most of it was converted into offices for the city of Martinsburg/ Berkeley County) but its logo is still on the water tower

I remember that too John!! Hagerstown outlets are dead now because of Clarksburg outlets. Karmic restitution? Maybe lol

You guys crack me up with the accent and you giving orders to Dillon 😂🤣

Comfort food laced with nostalgia! I didn’t realize Polaroid cameras were still around. Great video!

Baltimore natives - was the Brokerage the former location of the Howl at the Moon piano bar? I'd often go there when I was in town and it looks familiar.

Daphne King

Hahaha! The secret recipe requires the right Styrofoam. Lol

Every time you discuss -- or go to -- Marley Station Mall, I crack up, remembering your hilarious podcast episode when you imitated Ace from Ace's misadventures. "Whut, DAN was here? Oh, I wanna go lick the floor where he was..." I literally laughed so hard that I ended up crying! I personally like Sbarro, but my long intestine has a long history of disliking them. Go figure.

Bob

Love this interesting mini vlogs exploring these places. Love to see more in the future.

Shawn

Definite post-mall vibes around the 11:40 mark.

I love trying to find information on abandoned places and tried to get some info on The Brokerage. What I could find was The Brokerage, originally owned by Sovereign Realty, was foreclosed on sometime before January 1991 with Bank of America being owed $53 million. It was auctioned and purchased by BA Properties for $8 million. Then it was planned to have the Children's Museum moved to the location in 1992 which I believe is the Port Discovery location that opened in 1998. I couldn't find much on what stores occupied the location, but it did seem like there were more vacancies than occupancies in the 6 or 7 years it was in operation.

thanks for the info cody. weird that there’s no photos or anything. im going to check with the maryland historical society and see what they may have. -d

This is so interesting! I love to try to figure out what a building used to be before it changed into what it is now. Thanks for this video ❤️

The deadpan joke after the news segment made me laugh so hard. Great video, I love the historic content.

Matt Thomas

Really enjoyed it Dan it was like going back in history that little (maybe) part of the mall, very cool.
