Can I ask why you do a black enamel wash after doing the white highlights? Does the airbrush not just go hide the recess shading?

Me again, sorry if it’s a stupid question but does it make a big difference if you use AK black wash and then take it off with a cotton bud vs using the oil? And what is the reason for the gloss varnish step first?

If the ak black wash is enamel product, is the same as a prepared oil (literally the same). Gloss varnish allows a better and easier cleaning
