I would say I prefer the Dub over sub on Almost EVERY anime. Except AoT. Because the English Dub titan scream is atrocious. It just sounds too computer generated.

To answer Lia, yes he did have this dream with his dad before. We saw it back in episode 2. But, this one we saw on this episode had stuff we didn't see back in episode 2. Also, yes everything will be explained! This show can be really confusing at times because it's meant to throw you off, but I promise all of your questions have answers! Another thing, I do feel like the Dub version is a lot easier for people to react to and understand the show better in general so im personally glad yall are doing the Dub! Im really excited you guys are reacting to this show! I can answer any questions you have without giving any spoilers. Great reaction and looking forward to the next one!

Continue watching the dub and don't listen to the audience pressuring you to watch the sub. There's this weird and cringe culture surrounding the topics of dub and sub in anime spaces, the fanbase of attack on titan can be particularly childish when it comes to this. I've watched the anime in both the sub and dub, there isn't this immense difference that's going to stop you from enjoying the show, especially since you're all new to anime. Since you 3 enjoy discussions during the episode, the dub is definitely the better choice to prevent missing key info.

The dub is honestly great, minor flaws sure, but don’t take those comments too seriously. There’s a weird elitist/gatekeeping thing from people who prefer subbed, who also don’t happen to understand a word of Japanese without subtitles, that are overly dramatic and think it’s ok to tell other people how to watch stuff. I like both, but for a reaction video I personally prefer English so I don’t have to read extra small subtitles on my iPhone.

Courtney being swarmed by pets at the beginning was the best. Also as far as sub vs dub is concerned I think the sub is better, but that's not to say the dub is bad or that y'all should switch from it. Continue watching whichever way is best for you guys. That said I think the only gripe I have with the dub is Eren's VA is a bit over the top for me. AoT is pretty dramatic all the time, but Eren's Japanese voice just fits more and is lot more tolerable in the sub, but that's just me probably. Anyway, looking forward to the next episode!

remember when we're all making fun of the characters we're making fun of the dubbed voice actors 🙂 To me this show is otherworldly but the English version makes it pedestrian... it is no longer a strange faraway world 😮
