The onsen was a secluded paradise, hidden deep within the forest. Steam rose in lazy curls, blending with the cool night air. Ouro Kronii stepped into the warm water, her silver hair cascading down her back like liquid moonlight. She sighed, letting the heat soothe her muscles as she leaned back against the smooth stone edge. “Ahh… finally,” she murmured, her voice soft but laced with relief.
The sound of footsteps on the wooden deck made her glance up. He stood there, a towel slung over his shoulder, his gaze lingering on her. “Enjoying yourself?” he asked, his voice low and teasing.
Kronii smirked, her blue eyes glinting with mischief. “Maybe. Why don’t you join me and find out?” she replied, her tone playful but inviting.
He stepped into the water, the heat making him hiss softly. Kronii’s breath hitched as he moved closer, the tension between them crackling like the steam rising around them. “Ngh… you’re bold tonight,” she said, her voice trembling slightly as his hand brushed hers under the water.
“Only for you,” he replied, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down her spine.
Kronii leaned back, her lips curling into a playful smile. “Ahh… you’d better keep up,” she whispered, her voice breathy as the warmth of the onsen and his touch made her heart race. She let out a soft moan, her fingers trailing along the surface of the water. “Ngh… don’t think this means you’ve won.”
He chuckled, his hands finding her waist under the water. “I don’t need to win,” he said, his voice steady but filled with warmth. “I just need to keep up with you.”
Kronii’s breath caught as he pulled her closer, the heat of the onsen and his touch making her head spin. “Ahh… you’re impossible,” she muttered, though her body arched toward him, betraying her words.
The night stretched on, the stars above bearing witness to their quiet laughter and whispered promises. Kronii leaned her head against his shoulder, the warmth of the onsen and the cool night air creating the perfect balance. “You’re lucky I let you keep up with me,” she said, her voice soft but laced with her usual confidence.
He smiled, his arm wrapping around her waist. “And you’re lucky I’m patient enough to keep up with you.”
Kronii laughed softly, her heart lighter than it had been in ages. For once, time felt like it was on her side.
