Taiwanese accent is actually very similar to what Zhanghao has (Fujian accent) since they're close in distance. It's characterized by less enunciation and more slurring between the words. It's kinda like a southern accent in the grand scheme of things since everything is still understandable and not too different that it would be considered a dialect

This is very accurate. Just to add, due to the Taiwanese accent sounding generally more gentle and feminine it is percieved as cute. Usually viewed positively for girls, but not so much for boys (especially in the north). And while I agree its definitely not different enough to be considered a dialect, it is influenced in pronunciation and vocabulary due primarly to regional thaiwanese, the hakka population, and Japanese occupation. I learned Cantonese and Mandarin in Hong Kong growing up and often got lumped together with the Taiwanese accent despite us not sounding similar at all. I would however OFTEN confuse the fujian and Taiwanese accents.

I’ve rewatched this show but your reactions reminded me how much I love it. I’m obsessed with WuBi’s actor too. Cheeky indeed and so charismatic. I also love how WuBi spends 90% of the time watching SuYu sleep. As soon as SuYu left the class to talk to WuBi’s dad he goes to sleep himself now that SuYu isn’t there 😅
