Yeah you're right, the rules are a bit inconsistent. I think one thing they could have done is make the characters motivations and thought processes more clear. I see so many people constantly question sol's actions, being like ''ugh now we're doing this again...'' etc. If you really think about it it makes perfect sense, but it's easy to lose sight of that and get caught up in emotions and frustration. In the earlier timeline she's rejecting him, One, bc she knew that if she'd go back, young sol wouldn't remember him and break his heart and two, she wasn't confident that he'd actually like her for her, she thought she had just led him on with her behaviour. And now in this timeline, she realised he didn't commit suicide he was murdered by the guy that sunjae saved her from. So the conclusion is, if sunjae doesn't save me, the guy won't go after him. So therefore the only 2 things she can do is, get the police involved, hope they catch him before anything happens and also push sunjae away in hopes he won't be there to save her.

stoppp the ending scene of this ep gets me every time 😭😭😭 the lighting, their makeup, the acting, the script, everything was just so beautiful :(( you can really see the emotion and intensity in byeon wooseok’s eyes when he said those lines too and see on his face how he came to terms with his decision/fate while he said it. I felt that in my soul lmao
