WIP Train #12 - Lanessa's Character Design (Patreon)

While we were making the XMAS mini image set, we saw a few comments pop up here and there saying that Light Lanessa looked kinda like Tara of G4E. (From the neck up at least. :P) We thought that was an interesting topic for a WIP train because the people who commented were onto a little secret of ours, but not the one you'd expect. So let's debunk the Lanessa / Tara myth once and for all! 

Lanessa's character design is actually based off of Sayako's new model. Don't believe me? It's true! Check out the comparison images below and see for yourself. :P 

The power of hair and makeup truly is a force to be reckoned with :P (and your complexion while being alive vs undead, I suppose... :D) 

For anyone who's been wanting to see a crossover, you could say that Sayako is technically already making an appearance in the Bloodlust universe as an actress starring in Lanessa's role so to speak :D

The idea to use Sayako's model as the base for Lanessa was partially to decrease the time we otherwise would've spent setting up a whole new character design from scratch, and partially because having an existing character star in a different universe as an 'actress' in a new role sounded like fun.  (And yeah, maybe we were also kinda curious to see if anyone would notice :P )

Overall it seems it worked out well with Lanessa since she's been welcomed with open arms, so we may consider doing something like this again in the future. Anyways, thought that was a little fun fact to share with you all. You can grab all the WIP images from the attachments below!

PS: quick update on Sayako since she's making a guest appearance in the comparison shots. Sayako's model is still a work in progress, but any G4E related work is currently on hold while we work on Bloodlust: Lanessa. For anyone wondering, we're mainly planning to give Sayako a new sexy outfit and a different hairstyle in the future :)
