Shen Qingqiu pondering if he can just not answer the old palace master makes me think that he'd be a survivor in a horror movie 🤣 But this moment is yet another great left field moment from Mo Xiang Tong Xiu that leaves readers unable to guess what will happen next in this mausoleum. I love the repeated use of "now was not the same as then". It really hits home not only how things have changed from the original story, but also from the start of Shen Yuan's journey as Shen Qingqiu. The sip of your drink as you said about the original Shen Qingqiu being able to accomplish quite a lot as a stick figure if he could pour all his spiritual energy into his mouth...😏 Shen Qingqiu proving once again that his vast knowledge of all the plants and beasts in Proud Immortal Demon Way is a truly handy tool to fight with. Those seeds though are terrifying. They do remind me though of one of Hanami's attacks from Jujutsu Kaisen. Just on a much more grotesque level. All the moments when Shen Qingqiu protects Luo Binghe in this chapter set made my heart simultaneously hurt and soften over them. It's hurting Shen Qingqiu physically to protect Luo Binghe, but it shows just how much he truly cares for him. It hurts that Shen Qingqiu is in pain but it also hurts that Luo Binghe is unconscious throughout all of this. Whilst I do agree with Shen Qingqiu that instead of just crying and apologising for his actions, Luo Binghe should try to learn from the past and change his ways. But I love that we do get such an emotional couple like this. The secondhand embarrassment on Shen Qingqiu's behalf when talking about the, ahem, *feeling* Luo Binghe had 😂 Your singing *Single Ladies* did make me imagine Shen Qingqiu putting Luo Binghe into the coffin and then going out to greet Tianlang-jun and Zhuzhi-lang with that playing in the background 🤣 Megara I feel is a great comparison with Shen Qingqiu...also now I have *I Won't Say I'm In Love* playing in my head 😆 Perfect way to sum up Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe and their frustrating lack of communication: "They're both idiots!" 🤣 I had to pause the video because I was laughing so hard at the testicles/chesticles moment 🤣 It's understandable to have a slip up like that but it was hilarious. Also if it had been his testicles then I feel like there'd be a new lake discovered thanks to Luo Binghe's tears if he learned he missed such a moment 😆 I would definitely agree that the old palace master's death is the most gruesome out of all the deaths in all the books. MDZS I feel the deaths are more about causing emotional pain. TGCF like you said is mostly bam and dead, with any of the more body horror moments and gruesome things not leading to the death of characters but rather lingering pain and turmoil for them. I would say on the first read the father falling from Xianle's walls and crushing his infant child is a death that stands out for me in TGCF, but I think learning that that family of three were just created to cause Xie Lian pain and not actual people does change your perspective on the scene. In SVSSS this death is so visceral and descriptive. The old palace master definitely deserved all the agony that came his way if we read between the lines of how he talks about/"to" Luo Binghe's Mum in his delirious state. But that doesn't make the scene any less stomach churning. Your questions directed at Airplane Shooting Towards The Sky and his lack of appearance did make me laugh; channelling your inner Shen Qingqiu hard there Romania 🤣

SQQ would probably survive in a horror movie just to be tortured all the way through it! And yessss, Shen Yuan finally realizing that truly, the story is different with him as SQQ! That “stick figure and mouth moment?” Yeah…definitely had MXTX Gutter Mind! YES, I can totally see the relation to Hanami from JJK – that death through “The Ties that Bind” was absolutely TERRIFYING! I’m glad SQQ knows his monsters and plants! And YES, I want each of them to know what the other has gone through to “save them” but also, knowing that they are helping each other is SO GOOD! Also, the “Single Ladies” bit is why we need the donghua continued, so we can have these moments edited together! I guess someone could make an animatic in the meantime! And yes, reading your comment has the Hercules soundtrack back in my brain for the day! “They’re both Idiots” is probably what MXTX has been trying to tell us this whole time! @_@ Hahahaha - I’m glad that “chesticles/testicles” moment gave you all a laugh! But I agree 100% - LBH surely would cry lakes of tears if he knew all the moments he’d missed out on in this arc! 😛 The old palace master’s death was definitely the worst of all of them - some in TGCF get close to being that gruesome - but this one was DESCRIPTIVE in a way that’s insane. And who? Me? Channeling SQQ? WHEN?! 😀But yeah, I feel there are times I realllllly empathize with him! Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! I cannot WAIT for the next few weeks!
