Loved the reaction & discussion! Finally, our darlings are back! 🥰 Honestly, getting the season 1 reactions, and now only 6 months later BL returning, has been so excellent – it has made the wait since the initial release of season 1 bearable for me. 😭 Always enjoy seeing a new perspective on existing plot – this was loads of fun and was lovely to see you have a good time with it. I think they did really well in terms of presenting the same information we'd already seen (e.g. Ego’s speeches, rules, most of a few matches, etc) in a fresh way. Zantetsu was a cutiepie. We got essentially the full replay of one of Bachira’s best moments, too! 🥰 Cannot wait to follow along with BL season 2 reactions! 💙

This movie was a lot more fun than I was expecting. If I shipped Reo and Nagi already in season 1, and I did, this movie has done nothing but made me ADORE them so much now. All the little moments were great, and it really built up their relationship in a really nice way. Nagi's little *peaces* when he said goodbye were freaking adorable and I could watch/listen to him for hours just saying that. The way Reo so genuinely wants to see Nagi be his best self and reach his potential really made me love his character. In season 1 I couldn't quite understand him and his spiral after Nagi leaves him helped a little but I wasn't exactly endeared to him; well, this movie really made me love his character because despite everything, he is quite sweet and devoted. He isn't using Nagi but rather fascinated by him and I love that. Which makes the whole miscommunication when they separate so heartbreaking. Yes, these are teenage boys who have not learned, yet, the importance of saying what you mean and communicating to others because they, unlike us the audience, can't just hear your thoughts and know what you meant by your actions *lol* I have faith that they can patch things up, because they both still totally adore the other, but it's probably not going to be easy. I'm glad you were warned off from watching the after credits scene because I was not, and it was too late to stop once I realized it was spoiler.y T_T I wanted to know absolutely nothing when watching season 2 and the movie ruined that for me, unfortunately. Yes, this was a great way of refreshing one's memory and rekindle the passion before season 2 comes out, and I'm glad we could watch it just on time. Season 2 is bound to be a lot of fun!

I really enjoyed this movie and yeah, if you weren’t shipping Nagi and Reo before, you definitely are now! All the little moments were so good and it deliciously built up the angst between them even more! Nagi was literally adorable in this! And Reo working so hard to show off Nagi and yes, this movie helped to explain why he spiraled so much! And the miscommunication makes so much more sense now as well! I just want the best for both of them! I agree; I’m hopeful that Season 2 lets them at least have the chance to TALK more but how crazy, right?! Oh no, I’m glad that I wanted for that after credit scene but I’m sorry you were spoiled! >.< I’m excited for season 2 as well! I’m sure it’ll be a fun time if anything! Wooo we’re so back! 💙 So glad you enjoyed the movie, loved the reaction! When this movie was announced at the end of s1, I was so surprised and happy that they were going to adapt the spin-off into a movie rather than an OVA or something. In season 1, the additional times from ep 8 and ep 20 were based off Episode Nagi, so they were actually teasing the movie all along haha. I wonder if we’re going to get more Epinagi-based additional times for season 2. Anyway, this movie was a nice refresher and gave some great insight into Nagi, Reo, and even Zantetsu! It was precious seeing their bonds develop. Btw, “Choki” means “scissors (in rock paper scissors)” in Japanese. A random but kinda fitting name for a cactus, and I like how it’s specifically referring to RPS which shows his gamer side. I love the connection of Nagi holding up a few peace signs in the movie which look like scissors and the letter V in team V. Definitely agree that Reo’s butler Ba-ya was inspired by Hunter x Hunter, especially since Kaneshiro mentioned in an interview that one of his favorite manga is HxH! The Dadada captain Nameoka Ryo is voiced by Kimura Subaru - Tendo (Haikyuu) and Todo (JJK) and the muscular mice who work for Tengen Uzui (Demon Slayer). He plays a lot of goofy characters lol. My favorite parts of the movie, besides all the Reonagi shipping goodness, are Nagi awakening and him seeing the light after Isagi scores the winning goal, and the Reo’s monologue near the end. Fun fact, the OST that plays during the break up is literally called “break up” 😭 The imagery of a lock forming on Reo’s heart and the chains wrapping around him was so good and heartbreaking! Reminds me of the imagery of the chains around Chigiri’s knee in episode 7 before he broke free of them. I also love the part where it showed Nagi’s and Reo’s different perceptions on change. And it reminds me of a s1 Reonagi angst tiktok that featured the song “People You Know” by Selena Gomez. When you made a nod to Kenma during a Nagi moment in the movie, I felt that! I watched the BLLK movie in theaters a month after watching the HQ movie in theaters, and if I wasn’t getting enough deja vu of BLLK s1, I definitely was reminded of Kenma haha. Another thing is that I compared the JJK0 movie with the BLLK movie, how they have a different protagonist and are basically love stories.

It feels good to be back! Thank you for the comment and kind words! I loved this and it has me so excited for season 2! That’s interesting about the “additional times” based off the Episode Nagi manga! It will be interesting to see what season 2 gives us! I was happy to see this movie so it could refresh me on some character names haha! But also, Zantetsu development! YAY! Ahhhhh, that makes SO MUCH SENSE that the creator’s favorite series is HxH – thank you for the voice actor information as well! All of the ReoNagi goodness and the visuals surrounding Nagi were amazing! But yeah, the Reo angst too! The OST really worked well for this movie but “BREAK UP” as the title… How dare they! That’s a good tie in to Chigiri as well - but ahhh the angst with them, especially Reo! Be careful what you wish for! I am eagerly anticipating the HQ movie to come out but yessss, ReoNagi and GojoGeto are….very similar! Anyway, I’m so hyped for Season 2 now! Yay! Bring on the Blue Kool-aid!
