I'm sure I'll never understand all the intricacies of japanese honorifics, but I feel Saionji calling her Wakaba-kun rather than something like Wakaba-san is the signal he's friend zoning her hard. Kind of sad that Utena's two best friends can't get along with each other. Maybe that's why Utena was doing the bridge pose, if she can't be the metaphorical bridge between them she'll be a literal one ... either that or she's just an hyperactive monkey girl that can't just stay still while having a conversation. Honestly with the kind of humor this show does either one could be correct. P.S. They messed with Wakaba, no now it's personal.

Saionji friend-zoning, noooooo - but yeah, I believe “kun” is much more friendly, cutesy than “san.” And oooh, is Utena being the metaphorical bridge in that moment! That would explain a lot! Interesting, hahaha! But yes, her being hyperactive (the Discord said ADHD) would make sense and yeah, either way would be feasible in this show! Thank you for the comment and kind words!
