I love this camera, albeit not for the reasons I initially anticipated, but it is time to let it go.
To know the reason for my decision, you’ll have to wait until Saturday, whilst in the next days we’ll retrace my story with this exceptional machine (and my beautiful models).

One more way I found to use the X100V for nudes, the last time, was with Ania on the nude beach, along with other 3 cameras.
In this case I selected the Fujifilm mainly because of its water resistance, when I was inside the river Adda with Ania.
I didn’t want to drop in the water any of my other cameras, and the X100V was the most likely to survive a plunge in the river anyway.
I love the casual pose of Ania is in this photo, she was really enjoying her time with fellow nudists in this natural surroundings (save for the power lines in the sky section on the background).
This photo has been edited with Lightroom Classic, like any other photo I'm shooting with other cameras.

Today I will finally reply to the initial question: “why I’m giving up on my fujifilm X100V?”

I was not the only one to grow fond of the X100V during the past 4 years, also my wife learned to appreciate this workhorse constantly in my hands whenever we were going out together.
She also tried the camera herself, occasionally (the BW bonus picture of me was shot by her).
Some days ago, I was casually mentioning Fujifilm had released a new model of this camera with interesting new features, and my wife instantly offered to buy the older model from me if I wanted to upgrade.
Her interest surprised me, because I tried twice before to get her interested in photography during our 19 years of acquaintance, first time with a Nikon FM2 film camera with a couple of lenses (I’m currently using myself), and the second time with a compact digital Canon S90.
She never used the Nikon, and hardly ever used the Canon, but she has been using her iPhone more lately, and this could be the right time to finally embrace her creative side.
I was not interested in getting the new X100VI, but thanks to this excuse, I’m surely going to make use of the new features!
Videos with no time limits, improved autofocus, image stabilization for hand held exposure in low light, and 40MP instead of the previous 26 (more than any of my previous cameras).
This new camera will surely be a better EDC camera, but I will also try using it again for my nude photo project.
Some pictures I will use straight out of camera, others are going to be edited using my Lightroom Classic subscription, as part of my customary workflow.
I was even thinking about an entire shooting with this point and shoot and Martina, but that would be too much!!!
For the moment, I leave you with my first picture with the new X100VI, the last bonus photo is a close-up of the jurassic ETA movement inside my Steinhart watch, the film simulation I used is the newly introduced Reala.

This is a new era, when both me and my wife are going to benefit from the enthusiasm for photography this camera is granting to every user.

Fabulous light on her, but I‘m actually even more intrigued by the water - being a paddler: what body of water is this? Looks like a river that would make me dream as much as Ania‘s body :-) Thanks again for sharing :-) best regards

Ania is a ray of sunshine on what today in Glasgow is a very dull day indeed. Good luck with my new camera and now I need to think how I can sell some of my old gear to my wife.

My wife is still insisting to pay for the older camera, but I want it to be a gift to her. After all, she endures so many awkward situations because of my peculiar hobby (like me working on the photos of nude girls while we're watching TV every night together), she deserves some compensation from time to time!

It is the Adda river, known to have inspired also Leonardo Da Vinci for his paintings. This is the exact position: https://maps.app.goo.gl/TMeYHUfuTzz3vWx7A This part of the river is not safe to paddle, as before and after this sort of natural pool, waters gets pretty rough and dangerous.

Happy for you! Have fun with the new equipment and enthusiasm!

That is a glorious picture of Ania. (Great picture of the watch too, but I confess my preference is for the one of Ania. 😊)
