as much as i wish Friends was applicable to all friendships, i like that it’s very specific to vmin’s friendship. they included their specific memories (tiny pinky, dreamcatcher, going to school together, the dumpling incident) and made it obvious that their friendship is important to them. jimin wrote and produced the song, and he said he and taehyung would leave each other little messages during recording in the “hey, jimin, today” part before they decided what would go there. probably the only part that we can relate to in our own friendships is the you’re my soulmate part... everything else is very much vmin only. i love it, i cried listening to it the first time. also, hobi and jungkook did background vocals for Friends :)
