An update about billing (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

For a long time, Patreon processed all recurring payments on the first day of every month. This could make the first month of membership confusing, especially if you subscribed toward the end of a month, got charged for the subscription, and then got charged again for renewal just a week or two later on the first day of the subsequent month.

Patreon has finally updated how they process recurring payments, allowing us to move to subscription-based billing. In this model, you're automatically rebilled on the day of the month that you first subscribed, as is the norm for digital content subscriptions (think Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc).

If you're currently a patron, this change will not affect you. Patreon already bills you for your current subscription on the first day of every month, and this pattern will continue.
