Under the Boardwalk is an animated movie that Paramount completely neglected that it feels like they deliberately want no one to know about its existence. In this review, however, I’m giving this my full attention and see what they are trying to hide with this one and if this is a hidden gem or a shell of a movie.

I’ll be honest, I myself didn’t really know about this movie until when I saw the trailer, but I might give it a shot at some point, while the story isn’t the best and the songs don’t seem memorable, it’s solid animation and likable characters definitely make up for it, so overall this isn’t one of the best animated films of the year but not one of the worst either. And honestly I feel absolutely sorry for everyone who worked on this movie, the fact that Paramount went ahead and completely burred this movie most likely because of Russell Brand and all his controversy is just full on insulting, I get wanting to distance themselves from Russell Brand but they should’ve just recasted him, and this is honestly really making me concerned for Paramount Animation’s future especially with how so many of their original animated films are being treated, especially since the last original animated film from them that was successful was Rango back in 2011, and at most the only successful ones they’ve had in recent years are the ones associated with Nickelodeon like the SpongeBob movies and even the Paw Patrol movies and even recently with TMNT Mutant Mayhem, and it’s just disappointing overall.

I have yet to watch this movie because I thought it would be bad, but now you mentioned it that it decent, I’ll give it watch and see what I think of this movie. However I do feel bad that Paramount has treated this movie way worst than what Universal did to Ruby Gillman as they try to bury this movie as possible especially factoring Russell Brand in this problem. I don’t know if that will help me support this when I see it, but I do feel bad about this movie though.

I too was surprised to find myself liking this movie. A shame it was neglected so hard by Paramount

Easily, my favorite part of this review is that clip of finding Nemo where Nemo struggles to say anemone, right. Nostalgic memories with that film.

Russell Brand notwithstanding, this looks like a decent movie. Paramount is doing this movie dirty.
