Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 2, episode 1 of REBELS!!!!  Oh dang guys, great way to kick off this season!  It's awesome to have Ahsoka regularly in the mix now, and our crew working with the very early stages of the rebellion.  I do get where Kanan is coming from though, seeing as how he's seen this movie and he didn't like the ending!  Feels like a whole new phase for our crew, which should be fun to watch!  But guys....tell me we're not really doing this fight with Vader!!!!  Uggghhh!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!!!  ~ MH

Vader silhouette just standing in the shadows was so chilling cool that it was terrifying. That's a sight of a nightmare 😨

Interesting how they decided to keep Ezra’s scar from the last episode. It’s continuity, but not really something done a whole lot in animation. It’s interesting to look at how the Empire uses even its own citizens as pawns. In this case, Minister Tua knew she was already on the chopping block. Remember, she was there in the room the last time some officers were made to “account for their failures.” And Kallus told her Vader was insistent she get to her ship, knowing full well there was a bomb on it. Vader’s very strategic, but also quite callous. It reminds me of a line that’s said in the first Captain America film, “many forget the first country the Nazis invaded was their own.” Something similar seems to be happening here with the Empire. This is why you can’t get good help. Kanan’s viewpoint is understandable, but he also brings up another point, and that’s it doesn’t matter if you’re fighting on the right side or not, it’s mentally exhausting, draining, and affects both you and everyone around you no matter how hard you try. “Maybe this’ll turn out for the best since no one’s here.” Me: “Are they? Are they REALLY? Vader’s a lot of things but stupid isn’t one of them… yup!” You do realize the title warned you about the cliffhanger right? It clearly says “PART 1.” 😆

Yeah that's true about Kanan's POV, war is extremely detrimental no matter what side you're on. Yeah Vader wasn't born yesterday lol. Hahaha that's on me for not seeing the cliffhanger coming I guess >.<
