Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 2 episode 10 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime!  WHOA!!!!!  I mean, how stinking satisfying was it to watch our crew DESTROY the folks who came and took so much from us?  I'm usually not one for revenge/violence but, that was amazing.  What a sight to see - our crew in action at full power!  Also, something tells me Razen is gonna be a problem.  And wow, that ending with Rimuru just racking up the body count....wow o.O  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I'm pretty sure it's called "Physics Magic". It's like magic, without magic. Rimuru summons Water Elementals to collect the sunlight. Then, he summons more into those water balls to give the light one point of escape. He basically makes a high powered laser that he can point in any direction he wants. You could fire that laser from Florida at someone in Italy and still hit your target in less than a second.

Progrise16

And the only cost for it is the amount of magicules it takes to summon the Elementals. Which for Rimuru, isn't a whole lot.

kamenriderhime

Oh wow!!! That's incredible. So that's how it works! Yeah that wouldn't break the magicule bank for Rimuru at all would it lol.

ABHB Ya-iba

I feel like watching Tensura again, so I came back here and rewatch some of them. I think I forgot to mention something. During the battle between Geld and Shogo, Shogo was manage to destroy his Charybdis' scale shield. However, in the manga, Geld just casually pull out another shield from his any kind of inventory. Which mean he has endless supply of them. Even more unfair to Shogo LOL.

kamenriderhime

Nice, hope you've enjoyed the rewatch! Ohhh interesting, wow that's crazy about the endless supply! That does make it even more unfair!!

By the way, season 3 of Reincarnated as a Slime will premiere in April this year. Hope you ready for it. After the first part of it, there will be the part I always waiting for.

Hi Hime :) To begin with, I love what you did with your hair in this video, I don't remember seeing you with your hair up often, but it suits you well ^^ Ah yes, I forgot, but in Milim's tale, you see her being comforted by a fairy, it's our fairy with a strong tongue Ramiris. She told Rimuru that she was friends with Milim, for the little info, she is even responsible for the fact that Milim regained his senses after his rage having transformed him into a Demon Lord. The third person at this time is the original third demon lord along with Milim and Ramiris. Compared to "demon lord" and "true demon lord", as it has been said in the past it seems to me, there is the title of demon lord, which does not take power into account but is just given, as a kind of dubbing. But there is the class of "demon lord" which can be acquired as Milim did, by progressing and evolving. Only, even if you evolve to the level of a "demon lord", if you don't have the demon lord seed (which Rimuru has via Geld), you cannot become a true demon lord. This is what Rimuru insinuates, that Clayman may have the level of a demon lord, but did not have the seed and by creating Geld and forcing the humans to go and confront him, he would have recovered and the ten thousand souls , and the seed to become a true demon lord. It's crazy how now that they're at full power, the humans haven't had a chance huh. Finished in seconds. The smiles and the confidence they had melted away as quickly as the snow in the Sahara. For your concern about Rimuru and his anger or his lack of pity, you are absolutely right to be and I was just as much as you. Just wait until you see the end of the arc to draw your conclusions. You are going to have some surprises with his evolution into Demon Lord, some of which will even make you laugh I promise you.

myst0dreamer

The part about evolving to the level of a Demon Lord but not becoming a True Demon Lord, I only agree with some of what you said. To me it's simply that you must be a Demon Lord Seed, to evolve into a True Demon Lord. This just means Clayman is a Demon Lord Seed. He hasn't evolved because he hasn't met the other requirements. You don't have to take the Seed from someone else. Even if this were possible, and I'm not denying it might be in some cases, Clayman doesn't have the means to acquire it like Rimuru does, through eating. But Rimuru might just have absorbed a whole lot of magicules and skills from someone who happened to be a Demon Lord, which status necessarily means the Orc Disaster is stronger than any other monsters he's absorbed before. Getting the Seed is more like you've met a set of requirements. When Great Sage originally described the Seed to Rimuru, the first part of what she describes are the characteristics of having the Seed. One thing that becomes clearer as the story progresses is that it's not obvious to everyone, even Demon Lord Seeds, how to become a True Demon Lord. They may be close to the truth or completely clueless. Rimuru had the benefit of having Great Sage tell him exactly what Rimuru in particular needed to do. But in order for it to work, Rimuru had to have had the Seed first. You cannot do it in any order. My comment last episode which unfortunately disappeared has more information. (I'm hoping Hime will restore the comment as she did for me once before, please, Hime?☺️)

Spadeas

What I meant by that is that for example Clayman and Carrion are demon lords, but not seeds yet. I got a little confused judging the seed as some kind of object when it's a status. If I remember correctly what I read and heard, hoping not to be wrong, reaching the rank of demon lord is a step towards becoming a true demon lord. But becoming a demon lord does not mean becoming a seed. If I take video games as an example, it's as if your monster evolved into a demon lord, its next possible evolution would be true demon lord, but for that it will have to reach a certain level and obtain certain skills to be able to unlock this option, getting his skills takes him to become a seed which then brings him to his final evolution. But they can very well reach the level, without the skills and remain just Demon Lord. Like a level 100 pokemon that wouldn't evolve because it didn't learn a specific skill. I don't know if I'm any clearer ^^'.

myst0dreamer

I may have said this a long time ago, but it's important to know what Words of the World is at this point. WotW is like the operating system of the world which executes the laws of the world. People hear it only when they have a personal evolution or a change in Skills. It spoke to Shogo when he got his new Skill. It has the same voice as, but is not the same as, Great Sage. Great Sage stole WotW's voice as a means of communication with Rimuru. As for Shogo, an accidental death he caused in the past during training in that world made him realize that killing humans made him stronger. Because Kirara was strong too he got a bigger upgrade from her death.

myst0dreamer

All episode the members of Falmuth's army demonstrated in multiple ways their scumminess. I think it was supposed to make us hate them more. Their arrogance continues to be obvious, they don't even seem to consider the possibility that someone else might be stronger or have better Skills. Hakurou also used this arrogance and immaturity to goad Kyoya to lose his temper and become reckless. It happens a few times in this series. Fights aren't always on the physical level alone, which is interesting. Folgen, Falmuth's Knight Commander is an Otherworlder who has made friends with Razen and is not being controlled. The reference to giving Kirara's and Kyoya's Skills to Folgen is because of Folgen's Unique Skill Spearhead, which includes the ability to take the Skill of someone who died in his eyesight. It's not unlimited, but he can carefully choose the more valuable Skills. The fact that Razen was able to take on Shogo's Berserker and Survivor Skill is because those Skills were attached to the body. Ones embedded in the soul are stronger. They reflect the person's deepest desires. Willpower is the biggest determining factor of who will win in a fight between two equally-ranked Skills, and who is stronger in the world.

myst0dreamer

Oh, forgot to mention: Falmuth had been planning to kill anyone fleeing Rimuru City, which is why the Otherworlders were stationed on the road. They didn't want anyone to dispute their version of events, and the rationale for the attack. Also, they were going to blame the deaths on the monsters...... Rimuru's potential, at least on the surface, is based on three things imo: strength of his soul, his willpower, and the (fortuitous?) nature of his Great Sage and, less obviously, his Gluttony Skills. (Edit:. All of these qualities might even be the same thing. And it makes you wonder once again, is his strength really just coincidence?) (Edit 2: I realized there's another thing about Rimuru that leads to his success: his ability to inspire loyalty.)

The comment on the last episode that disappeared is mostly how I think one becomes a Demon Lord. My information is mostly how I understand it from the LN. Basically to get yourself recognized as an Official Demon Lord by the other Official DLs, there are 2 ways. Either you get recommended by 3 (it might be 2) of them, or you kill one of the others. In order to do that, you need to be strong. But you don't have to be a True DL. If they aren't one, they probably are a DL Seed. The term Demon Lord in general can mean any one of those things. There is no plain Demon Lord in the progression to True Demon Lord, which is a true evolution. To be a True DL, you must, however, first be a DL Seed. Then your analogy of the game where you unlock the ability to evolve is accurate. Most (if not all) Official DLs are True DLs, DL Seeds, and a couple of individuals who by their nature cannot become a DL Seed. There are others comparable in strength to True DLs or DL Seeds in the world. The Official ones do not allow a simple proclamation to the world, "Hey, I'm a Demon Lord!". If you do, they will make you go follow the rules if you're able, or die. You can evolve to True DL, and keep it quiet, that's okay, then they won't bother you.

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

After seeing Shion lying dead all bloody and her horn broken like that , I only wish I got to see more of the enemies severed heads tossed around. That scene was awesome and I think it's okay to say so.

The first thing to point out in this chapter is the reason all of the side quests with the different raising parties work as well as they did because they’ve all been named by Rimuru. Which gives you an idea of what his capability level is. I do think the show specifically is doing a service here when it shows the soldiers, the king, and the Otherworlders and just how rotten they are acting. I think they’re trying to convey “if you were thinking you should feel sorry for any of these people, this should help.” Falmuth’s unwillingness to even open a line of communication with JTF before attacking, as I mentioned last episode, seems to have completely been turned on them. Even Rimuru, who we know is quick to forgive people, said in his opening thought monologue “there’s no need to grant any of these people forgiveness.” That’s probably the most condemning thing he’s ever said in the show. There’s a couple of things I found kind of amusing despite the dark nature of the episode. First, Benimaru just cleaning house kind of reminded me of Penny in kill mode: “Battle complete!” Also the four monsters who went west to fight the Otherworlders were all following a yellow brick road. Shogo killing Kirara for his own gain kind of cements that these people have really no scruples at all. Oh, she deserved what she got, but it’s kind of disappointing she got off as easily as she did considering her role in all this. What I am more curious about is this Words of the World mentioning. I see you trying to slip stuff by me, show… It was actually Hakuro who was talking to Razen about Rimuru and not the other way around when he said “you angered the one person whose rage you should fear the most.” Razen has abilities of both reincarnation and possession, and that seems like it will be a problem. The knight captain he was talking to mentioned that he wanted to take the abilities of the other Otherworlders but they were killed before the chance came. Now if abilities can be stolen, that does become a cause for concern in the JTF… I do think Rimuru’s actions here will have lasting repercussions. Can you honestly say 20,000 people are all bad? I know what I said earlier, but for all we know, a lot of them are just doing what they’re told. The show is selecting to show us the worst of them, but it’s never really that simple is it? And how will other kingdoms start to treat the JTF, justified as they are - particularly human kingdoms - after this news gets out? Don’t get me wrong, I fully believe Rimuru’s got every right to do what he is. But you can’t expect there isn’t going to be any consequences from these actions. Funny side note is I think you know exactly what you’re talking about when you mention a certain similar character in Star Wars. Funny enough, I’m at a similar plot point in Kamen Rider Zero One. You know the one. I was actually curious about Megiddo, the title of the spell and the episode so I looked it up. It’s a place apparently believed to be the site of the last battle on Earth, so it’s kind of a reference to the apocalypse. Which fits given the events of this chapter. I think everyone can agree they hope Rimuru doesn’t ever have to do something like this again. I do think it’s really hard to get a read on his true feelings as the death toll is rising, since he has his mask on. We’ll probably get his thoughts later, but in this case, they kind of brought this retaliation on themselves. The real question now is… what will happen as a result of all this? Not just to the JTF, but to everywhere? Will Rimuru start to be feared like the other Demon Lords? Will he still have as many doors open to him? One things for sure, this event is going to cause all sorts of ripples throughout the world.

myst0dreamer

The Greek version of Megiddo is Armageddon. Megiddo is a real place, and many battles have taken place there for thousands of years.

Manny

The problems did not start with any of our crew, despite each person thinking that they are the cause of all the problems in the previous episode. How'd that song by Billy Joel go? "We didn't start the fire, it was always burning, since the world's been turning" 😚🎶 They didn't start the fire but they brought the heat. It was so good to see after last week 🔥 🤧

kamenriderhime

Very true, poor Shion....the horn D': Yeah they for sure had it coming and what our crew did was awesome.

kamenriderhime

Such a good point, and now I'm gonna have that song stuck in my head haha! But yeah, everyone's trying to take blame here and it's just not that simple. OHHHH I love that line - didn't start the fire but brought the heat!!!! XD It was pretty satisfying right!!!

kamenriderhime

Hi Spadeas! :) Oh why thank you so much!! I'm so happy you like my hair!!! ^_^ Oh thanks for pointing that out about Ramiris, that makes so much sense! Donna and Spadeas, there's so much info and great analogies in your explanations of the Demon Lord Seed!!! It's complex but I find it really interesting. Donna, I repasted your comment but I think you mentioned you had rewritten it anyway, sorry about that! Oh I know, with our crew at full power, the humans didn't stand a chance!! And wow, I can't wait to see what lies ahead with Rimuru's evolution! Glad I'm not the only one who was concerned!!!

kamenriderhime

Oh interesting! I think you did mention it a while back. Oof, that stuff with Shogo was rough to watch. The origins of how he found out make sense though.

kamenriderhime

Yes!!! I was feeling less and less bad about the whole thing lol. I agree, there is so much more to a fight than just physical strength! Thanks for explaining about how Folgen and Razen acquire powers. Razen's seems especially scary. Very interesting about the role that willpower plays!

kamenriderhime

Ohhhh that makes sense! I mean we really never had an option except to take them out. Also thanks for clarifying about the most likely factors in Rimuru's potential!

kamenriderhime

Great point about the naming factor! Oh yeah, I feel like the rotten-ness is a last minute "do not feel sorry for these a-holes" haha. Yeah Falmuth really did this to themselves, and I guess we can't blame Rimuru for that line which as you said, is probably the harshest he's ever gotten. Oh I didn't notice the yellow brick road haha!! And yeah Benimaru's complete destruction was so quick and awesome it was almost laughable in a way. I can totally see the Penny analogy lol! Oh yeah, they emphasized just what a jerk the Otherworlders are too, aboslutely no loyalty or anything. Oh, I think Donna commented here about Words of the World! Apparently it's the voice when someone gets a new skill, but it's not Great Sage? Oh sorry for getting the characters reversed during the "person you angered" line. Still scary though lol. Yeah I am REALLY concerned about Razen's powers!! I agree, out of all the 20,000, to think they're all cut-and-dry "bad" is wayyy overgeneralizing! But, as you also mentioned, it's not like Rimuru is not within his rights to do this and/or there are a lot of other options. It's sort of kill or be killed at this point. I'm glad you caught my drift about Star Wars and oh yes, I believe I do know who you mean in Zero One!!!! Interesting about Megiddo! And yeah, this is definitely gonna resonate in every way possible. What that means, good or bad, or both - remains to be seen...!!!

myst0dreamer

I meant the humans who were in Rimuru City at the time, that Rimuru used magic to help escape.

kamenriderhime

Ohhhhh okay gotcha, that makes even more sense, since they would blame it on the monsters.

ABHB Ya-iba

To define this episode with a Kamen Rider's quote: "Now, count up your sins." Fun Fact: There is a side story in the manga version. A dad who is one of the soldier of Falmuth, he love his family and didn't like the fact that Falmuth declare a war against Tempest, but he couldn't do anything since he a mere soldier. The moment Rimuru strike Megiddo, he was lucky that he's not dead after get hit by a shot. A necklace fall and reveals his family picture. Rimuru saw it, so the soldier ask him not to take his family life. Rimuru promised him, and kill him instantly. In the very last moment of his life, I think he saw Rimuru as an angel.

kamenriderhime

LOL it works so well here!!! Oh wow, that part from the manga is kinda....dark but also beautiful!!!!!!

myst0dreamer

I wonder if anyone will ever read this comment, but I am more convinced than I was before that a Demon Lord Seed might actually be a thing because of some things I was rereading about Saint Eggs (maybe this is an alternate translation for Seed), or some combination of a status and a thing. Because they seem to rarely be transferable.

Erich Baumann

It's actually not water, it's way cooler, the water acts as a lense to focus and reflect concentrated light 😁
