Hey everyone!  Here I am with Red vs. Blue, season 9, eps 5- 8!  OMG!!  Another great batch!  We get to see some more faces in this one, not sure if I'll ever get used to it haha.  But now that we know who C.T. was.....how on earth am I supposed to interpret our adventure in the desert???  Also, LOTS of comedic gold in this one, from meeting the good Professor to Caboose changing his name!  Oh yeah, and everyone starts feeling more like themselves again.  Now to just coordinate everything correctly so that Tex will show up...!!  I had a lot of fun with this one, can't wait for what's next!  Great eps!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

As far as faces for the main cast, there were cartoons drawn of all of them in the special features of some of the Blood Gulch DVDs. The cartoon set, on the season 4 DVD I think, incorporated a lot more of the things we'd learned about them over the years, like Tex being a redhead, Grif being fat, Tucker being black, stuff like that. After typing all that out, I went looking for the old character profiles on my box set of Blood Gulch and I can't find them. Unless its on the bonus disc, my memory is really failing me on where I saw them. But I was reminded that one of the 15 fake parental warnings on the Season 5 DVD is simply "Caboose". Gotta warn parents about him. EDIT: I've remembered! They were on the original Blood Gulch DVDs, not the remastered box set. I borrowed those from a friend 14 years ago, I can't believe I still remember that.

There is fanart of what the Reds and Blues supposedly look like. We know that Dick Simmons is Dutch Irish and half cyborg, Dexter Grif is Hawaiian and heavy set, Texas or Alison Church had red or blonde hair, and Lavernius Tucker is African American. I could send you some fanart that has been done on Twitter. No spoilers of course, but the fanart is mostly just original jokes. And I think really captures the Reds and Blues. Also Wash won't have a face reveal sadly, he is considered part of the main cast.

Yup, CT AKA Connie AKA Agent Connecticut is voiced by Sam Ireland, who voices Nora from RWBY. I think Connie is a nickname for Connecticut, similar to how Agent Washington's nickname is Wash.

So, Church trying to get Caboose to tell him who Command was sending reminds me a lot of an old comedy routine called “Who’s on First?” If you aren’t familiar with it, it’s one of the funnier misinterpretations skits out there, and it kind of feels like this whole gag is kind of a homage to that. There are indeed repercussions to acting on your own interest at the expense of others, as South has discovered. Leave it to Tucker to think he’s God’s gift to women, despite hardly ever being seen with one. But then again remember, this is also a version of Tucker according to what Caboose told Epsilon-Church, so he’s going to be even MORE annoying than… “normal?” Meanwhile it does seem like the Reds are starting to revert back to… kind of normal. Grif actually being productive is simply too weird. But uh… is this a good thing or a bad thing? The mission Connie, aka C.T., is on, was a complete failure. We aren’t told what the mission was; only the aftermath is seen, and she seems pretty despondent about it. She raises some pretty good questions to Wash though: what ARE they doing? What is the purpose of the leaderboard? And she also mentions if you’re not at the top of the board, you don’t matter to the Director. Interesting. Obviously there’s more to delve in to here: but we got time. “Is that Nora?” BINGO! Yay, you got one! “Does CT stand for Connie or Connecticut?” Who says it couldn’t be both? Caboose understands women quite a bit better than he’s letting on even if it’s memory Caboose? Oh, I don’t know, I’m not a girl. If only there was SOMEONE around here who was female who could let us know whether or not “Tucker is stupid.” Anyone? Anyone at all…? Anyway, you’re probably wondering how this all fits together. The answer will be ready in about 6 to 8 weeks. I just have to finish dehydrating the next season first. In the meantime, you can go play with Roger. Over and out. 😎

Another great reaction. It’s great to see how excited this show makes you as always. You love so many series but there are like 5 that stand out as getting you extra excited at least to me and this show is one of them. And that makes me happy because I love this show :-). The first episode is mostly just good jokes especially with the mixed up personalities. And we get to see more of South’s aggression/anger which is not pretty and the strict nature of the Director. Seeing you losing it over the humor in episode 2 was magnificent and a sight to behold. The whole misunderstanding/miscommunication with Caboose was as frustrating as it is fantastic. I think the delivery of Tucker’s voice actor is what makes the jokes hit so well especially “Professor F” LOL. Also I like the name Roger :-). Sarge reaches the end of his patience & makes you wonder what Sarge in the real world would be like with patience. You are already seeing some great voice acting from Connie talking about some interesting stuff that may point to some things about the Director/the project in general. You can really feel the emotion with what she’s saying about herself and how mistakes/failure affect her. It’s honestly so interesting to see Washington when he was younger and more innocent/naïve although I think it’s just that he’s trusting here. And it makes how jaded and not trusting more sad. Nice to see the kind side of Wash here. Also the mystery of C. T. Continues :-). Also I am pretty sure you are right that it is Samantha Ireland good catch. The advice about women segment in my opinion was poking fun at men who think they understand women when they don’t as well as talking about stereotypes in a hilarious way. I think in exchange for not being academically intelligent Caboose is emotionally intelligent. Finally I love how Church trying to explain things to Tucker sounds ridiculous and crazy when we know it’s true LOL. Your predictions are fun to hear. I can’t wait for more and for things to start coming together. Awesome reaction I enjoyed it a lot. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

Yes, that's what I'm thinking too! At first I wasn't sure about the pronouns, but when folks started pointed it out, I figured it was important. Yes apparently there's fanart but nothing official for the main crew, including Wash!!! I'll just leave it to my imagination hehe.

Oh, I'll have to check out those skits! Yeah, lesson learned for South - except it's too bad she didn't really learn it at that time. Oh hahah good call that Tucker will be even more annoying since this is Caboose's interpretation! I mean, I'd think it's good they're returning to themselves but who knows! Grif being productive was way too out there haha. Yeah, this definitely gets Wash thinking. YAY I guessed the voice!! And yeah, I suppose one could be Connie and CT lol. Yay, thank you! I enjoy all my shows but some really send me into orbit the most, this is one of them haha. Yeah we're getting to see more details about characters like Tucker and the Director. The comedy was pure gold!!!!!! I couldn't agree more about Tucker's VA just killing it with the delivery. And also Roger is my new favorite name haha! Yeah I'm not even sure I can imagine that kind of Sarge being, well, Sarge lol. I totally agree that Sam nailed it with the acting here! She does so well with emotional scenes. I know, seeing Wash before his heart was hardened is nice and sad all at once. I'm so happy I guess the VA right, yay! Oh you're so right that the whole scene with Tucker was a fun rib on common stereotypes. And that's the best way to put it - Caboose is emotionally intelligent! Hahaha I know, without the context it all sounds so strange, yet it's true! I'm happy you like hearing my predictions!! I'm excited for more too!!!!!!
