Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction to episode 148!  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH you guys what a journey!!!!  We finally get to have a talk with Ging and learn some pretty epic big news when it comes to the nonexistent boundaries of this world...!!!!  Whoa!!!  I loved seeing where everyone ended up, I'm so proud of our crew!!  And I loved the message that it's all about the memories you make along the way, not even necessarily the end goal, that's so important!!!!  I loved this series so much, thanks for watching with me!!!  Enjoy!!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) Well, a lot to say and at the same time, so little... For Pariston, who is resigning as chairman and all the elections, Ging said he was not looking to win or lose, I interpret that to mean that he had another motivation. To me, Pariston is really sad that Netero died and didn't want to leave the association to someone who wouldn't respect Netero's memory or destroy what he built (much like Ging in the end). Provoking Cheadle in this way and pushing her to her limits, served to show her that she still had a long way to go to be at Netero's level and that there were changes to be made within the organization. A twisted way to teach a lesson and train Cheadle to be a good chairman. Killua has learned so much from Gon and everyone that he is now able to be the big brother that Alluka and Nanika deserve. The Gon/Killua friendship is in my opinion, one of the most beautiful in the shonen world, they both saved each other, progressed for the better and lived so much, Gon is certainly more of a brother for Killua than his own family and vice versa. Which means that now Gon has won two sisters at the same time with Alluka and Nanika lol. I told you that you weren't at the end of your surprises with the characters of Kite when he died, but it's nice to see her alive. Regarding her gender, I don't know if Kite considers herself a boy or a girl, all I know is that if I could be reincarnated in the same way, I would like it because physically, she is magnificent. I'm obsessed with her luscious lips, I wish I had the same ones. The sequel is just in manga, where precisely an expedition leaves to explore "the outside", but where we are for the moment, we are still on the sea in an arc that we can consider as a kind of tournament in behind closed doors, and where Kurapika and Leorio are in the game. After all, we've been following Gon and Killua for a while, let them rest while Kurapika and Leorio have their adventures.

Melissa I just want to say thank you so much for watching with us. I know we get allowed choices for coming reactions, but still you gave us the option to decide. And it's always a treat to watch a show like HxH with someone new. I'm still surprised it was picked; it just seemed like such a slim chance at times. I went against Haikyuu for this because I always feel an awesome reactor should have this show crossed off their list. It's just such a huge must. And at times I felt guilty bc it's so long and others would def want their picks to come quickly but I'm glad/bittersweet as well that we're here and we can say we watched it together. :) And don't be too sad CAUSE OF COURSE, not even an hour ago, on the last day Hime watches the "last" of HxH, the date for the mangas latest issue release was announced to be available October 23! Yet again you dodge haven't to wait any longer. 🤨 The last book still has some material not covered in the anime. It wasn't enough to make a whole ep, plus the departure, and meet up were both appropriate to end off on. So those unseen materials should be enough if you ever decide to dive in! I gotta say this occurrence of making material/shows/media pop up is not looking coincidental anymore. If I had my guess I'd say you're a conjurer for sure. Good luck in the hunter exam 💳

Hi Spadeas! :) That's so true, in his own way, Pariston was maybe trying to protect Netero's legacy. It was for sure a roundabout and twisted way to show Cheadle, but I suppose it worked in the end. I couldn't agree more about Gon and Killua! Killua gained a new family member to make up for how horrible his own is, and learned/grew so much into the great big brother he now is to Alluka and Nanika. You were right that the surprised keep coming about Kite! Thanks for clarifying on the gender; since we knew Kite as male, I was used to using "he", so please excuse me if that's not correct!! Also the lips are pretty amazing haha! Oh my gosh, so cool about the manga!!! I'd love to see Kurapika and Leorio have some adventures! Gon and Killua definitely need some rest haha!

I'm so happy you guys chose this one for me, I can see how it was a bit of a long shot that it would win, but I'm glad it did! It feels like it went by a lot faster than I would have thought too. I'd love to see Haikyuu at some point lol but I do agree that this is a must to have on my Reacting Resume! It is bittersweet right :'D Hahahahaha I mean, I guess you could look at it that I'm some sort of good omen for new content to come out??? :P I'm so spoiled though!!! Dying to read the new chapters! Oh, I'll need to check out that last book too, thanks for the heads up! Hahaha I must be a conjurer for sure!!! Wish I could say I'd ace the exam but I might be toast as early as the running LOL :P Thank you again Manny!!!!!!!

Ah, so exciting to finally reach this point! It's been a lot of fun watching along with you across the whole series, thanks so much for sharing your journey with all of us! Interesting to note, but while the manga does continue past this point, this is (as of right now at least) more or less the end of Gon's story, with him not really appearing at all afterwards. Or, I think there's a little bit more where we see him actually go back to Whale Island and reunite with Mito, but for the most part he's handed the protagonist baton over to Kurapika. Fingers crossed that some day we get to see that arc animated. In any case though, congratulations on making it all the way through the series, and thanks again!!!

Yes!!! I'm so happy you enjoyed watching along with me, it was a great journey for sure! Gotcha, I've been hearing about the unadapted parts of the manga. Interesting!! I'd like to check them out! I really hope we can get those chapters animated one day, including the new stuff that's coming out! Thank YOU!!!! It's been a pleasure!

I went from, "If I don't watch the episodes, it didn't finish, to, "If I don't comment, it didn't finish" 😅 But it's been a brilliant ride, thanks, Melissa! And whether I stick around or not, and if I do, whether I say it out loud or not, you're really cool. These reactions are ones for the book, I'd say, and I've rewatched HxH through reactions... God, maybe 8 years? It all gets blurred lol, but good times. If I had to ask one question though: nen type, what do you feel like you'd be? And what kind of hatsu, of course. I'm a Conjurer, hands-down. But I relate to Enhancers a lot. I'd probably conjure sentient nen beasts based on my childhood toys--that was always one of my ideas anyway 😁

Yeah, I was thinking you were an Enhancer too tbh XD But hey, lots there, even if Wing says they don't need nen abilities, due to their immense auras giving off a strong balance of offensive and defensive ability. But you got your basic Uvo and Phinks "enhanced fist," a classic. Gon obvious got creative by adding two neighboring categories with Paper and Scissors. Then you got infusing nen into objects, like Hisoka with his cards, or Gon and Killua did with their shovels. And Netero, the absolutely G, forfeiting his natural affinity for an Emitter technique, savage. And not Enhancers, but whilst you got powerhouses like Uvo, Melody and Bisky have abilities that are not only non-combative, but healing. But with Melody, I do wonder if she's got different songs for different situations. Although, that would affect EVERYONE who hears it, so I don't know.. I'm gonna keep hypothesizing if I don't stop, hahaha.

Hahaha I'm giving off some enhancer vibes guess! XD There's so much you can do with the different techniques right? What Netero did was thinking outside the box haha. That's so true about the ways in which Nen can be used outside combat too. The possibilities seem endless right?!?! You could just keep analyzing it forever haha, I totally get it!

Your series has been a delight to watch, Melissa!
