Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction to episode 147!  WOW!!!!  We finally get to see Kite again, and whoa, it's a big day for forgiveness huh!  Who knew the Koala was so deep???  And we finally get a bigger backstory on how Kite survived.  Can't believe it was all linked as much as it was!  Gon gets to serve up his apology, and it looks like we're off on another hunt for Ging!  He couldn't just meet us at a Starbucks or something, could he???  This one felt like a wrap-up to me and totally had me going!  Can't wait for the last ep!  Enjoy!!  ~ MH

Oh by the way, I apologize for any misused pronouns when referring to Kite! I think I may have used "he" as a force of habit when discussing the character, but under the circumstances, it might actually be "she" which is how the Wiki description phrased it. I'm not sure if they mentioned it in the ep or not. Please excuse me if I got it wrong! Thanks!!

It really is amazing to watch the process at the end, and watching everything from their first meet. Killua was unsure of what he wanted out of the hunter exam. Following Gon till he knew fir sure what he wanted. Now it's to protect Alluka.

That's so true!! It brings everything back full circle, especially for Killua, who found what he wanted!!!!!! Sniff :'D

The last episode that isn't really the last episode.... God, bless this episode, aiyeesh. But yeah, how the turn tables... ... 😅 But it's funny, Killua was following Gon cause Gon had a goal and he didn't, but now Gon's found Ging and Killua has Alluka to guard over. I really think it was Gon who helped Killua to see his inherent value, and Alluka showed him how to apply it in a healthy way. Because TBH, messing up your hands--no matter how wholesome, is not okay. But they are kids, so I think it should be taken into consideration that Killua was just using what he had learned, but for a nobler cause--albeit, misguided. And Killua did a lot of excuse-making for Gon's stubborness, probably due to his fear of losing a person he cares about. But here, we see them as truly equals, not an angel by Gon's side to serve him. And this growth is so important for him, but Ikalgo and Palm really deserve shoutouts for helping him contextualize healthy relationships too. And for Gon, Killua really helped him to realize the value of trusting someone, I think. Back at the dodgeball game, Bisky and Hisoka are provably far more skilled than Killua, but it's Killua that he trusted because of their emotional connection. But unlike Killua, Gon didn't know the ugliness of the world, so while his light was rightfully an inspiration/necessity to everyone around him, he didn't have nearly enough development to sustain that light when it became personal in a bad way. He almost lost everything, and left quite the wreckage in his wake. But I believe this time he spent with Killua will foster some great, and much needed introspection, and I'm happy for him. What a story, their friendship. *Exhales.*

2022-12-31 00:41:36 OMG I know!! It's funny how these things end up right! Yeah I hear you about the dynamic between Gon and Killua. And true that it was not just Gon who helped shape him, but also Ikalgo and Palm who helped him understand about what a healthy relationship looks like! There's definitely lots of growth here at the end of this journey together. So true that Gon learned about trust from Killua! Very true that Gon didn't really have enough experience about the world to justify that nature of his, and when it was tested, well, we saw what happened. I think they both had great impacts on each other! Their story was epic <3
