Hey everyone!  Here I am with Red vs. Blue, season 13, eps 5 - 7!  Wow guys, we're setting up a lot here!  Lots of risky decisions to make for our reds and blues, and we get some big reveals about what's really going on with the Meta suit!  Seems like our two teams are planning to divide and conquer now.  Meanwhile, we get a look at what this alien gateway things appears to do....show you critical moments in your character development from your past?!  I think this should be interesting if we're going down the road I think we are: making Locus reconsider a lot of his life choices!!  Great eps!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Not only is Sharkface one of the ODSTs that were seconded to Charon that the Freelancers fought in seasons 9, he was specifically defeated and left for dead by Carolina and Wash. He was the flamethrower operator who had shark teeth on his visor. Locus has more going on than any other villain in the show besides the Director. This season took me from rolling my eyes when he appeared to ranking him as one of my favorite characters. He also really balances out the scenes with Felix in them, because otherwise I might just skip them.

First, it seems that Tucker’s little sword stunt has not only given the inhabitants of Chorus help, it also has the happy accident of completely screwing up the plans of Charon, who had tried to adapt the technology into all their weapons - and then they all blew up in their face. I quite enjoy the fact that everyone finds the most unbelievable thing about this revelation the fact that Tucker reproduced. Also, is Junior’s basketball team gonna make the playoffs? Asking for a friend… 👀 While things are better, they aren’t good because Kimball and Doyle are running out of people - and the tractor beam prevents them from leaving the planet, so something has to be done - but it can’t be done without heavy losses - but at the same time, what is this map marker that everyone is getting pointed to, and could it provide an answer? Meanwhile, the Feds and the “News” are still not getting along as evidenced by Kimball asking two Federation guards to give her a vehicle, which they won’t do until Washington backs her up. Despite all the truces, they’re still viewing each other as enemies… but that can wait because Jensen just got behind the wheel again. Caboose thinking gas cans were full of lemonade because Church told him they were… nah, I don’t see a problem here do you? I do find it rather funny that Carolina tried to pull a “Tucker” and it’s the first time he says he felt violated. That being said, maybe that’s not the best way for Carolina to loosen up… 😂 I was wondering if you were going to notice the Easter Egg but it seems to have escaped your notice: in Hargrove’s office there is a stock ticker scrolling four letter names over the screen he’s looking at. Two of the stocks in particular stand out. I’m not gonna tell you, you’re gonna have to look again. YOU’LL KNOW THEM WHEN YOU SEE THEM. 😏 (Hint: 18:10 on the video!) Hargrove said the reason they’re able to replicate AI the way they have us because they were removed and “studied in secret…” which means… the Chairman was using his position on the UNSC to help him with this research and it’s application. And if Felix and Locus fail… guess who else is a loose end? But it is noteworthy that Epsilon is too old to run the new suit. It’s time to come clean: Sharkface is literal. It’s the guy from Season 9 who wire a shark helmet and had flamethrowers and fought Wash and Carolina during the Spiral mission. Which is ironic, because when he asks Price (the counselor) what he would do if the people responsible for his predicament were here now, Price is literally one of the people responsible for blowing up the building on him. He just doesn’t know it. The temple the pirates found has a gateway… but a gateway to what… Apparently only a true warrior can pass and the only clue they gave was “mental clarity.” We saw what Locus saw, and it seemed to disturb him, but Felix isn’t sharing anything. So. Ow that the good guys are here, what do you think is going to happen next? You better watch out…

I can recall the entire Hargrove scene from heart because of the sheer number of times I've watched it.

Aw despite everything Tucker really got a great handle at being a father. That’s cute 👽 🏀 It’s funny how Felix had the more likability factor which drew you in yet later becomes a jerk butt. Now I’m seeing a change in Locus. I think it’s change? That’s probably going to shift differently than he is now. I just wonder how?

I know right!!! And the photo, omg :DDDDD I know right?! Like it annoys me how entertaining Felix is cause I wanna hate him, which I do, but I can't take my eyes off him either lol. I know, there's something going on with Locus for sure! I guess we'll see!

kamenriderhime

Ohhhhh okay gotcha! I vaguely remembered but thanks for clarifying! Wow! That's really saying something about Locus. I can't wait to see what they do with him!

kamenriderhime

Yeah the sword thing really worked out! Hahaha I think Junior's team is really going places!! Oh good point about the map marker, hmmm! That's the thing, both sides are still looking at each other as enemies, Kimball even said it. Hahahaha well that might explain a lot about Caboose :P LOL yeah I'm not so sure how I feel about Tucker jokes coming from Carolina!!!! Neither does Tucker apparently lol. OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I just rewatched the scene and I cannot believe I missed that! RWBY and JNPR!!!! XD Wow, it's still mind-blowing to think that Hargrove was pulling all these strings to do all this shady stuff when he was the one being all sanctimonious to the Director. That's an interesting note about Epsilon. Ohhhhh that makes things even trickier that Price was actually partially responsible for the building thing, wow. I honestly have no clue what could happen now that we've arrived at the gateway! But I can't wait to find out!!!!!!!!!

2023-06-30 23:10:51 Great set of episodes. Yeah unfortunately Felix is very entertaining. You enjoying his scenes while also hating him is also entertaining. And this whole situation with the temple is making things more complicated for both sides. It messed with the mercenaries weapons because I believe it was mentioned that there is alien tech in the weapons they are using. And it looks like Malcolm wants to talk about what just happened. Now they have to make tough choices because they need more resources and can’t have the possibility of the mercenaries getting advantages. Going on the offensive & splitting up is not the best plan but there are not a lot of options as as you say sometimes there is risk involved in war. And unfortunately there is still tension between the leaders and armies and I like how it lets us learn more about Doyle and Kimball with what they prioritize right now. It’s particularly unfortunate because the federal army is not very willing to listen to Kimball which could be bad in the middle of a battle. I really love that Wash is the one telling Kimball that the armies aren’t enemies and that they need to give each other a chance to make this work he has come so far. It’s hard to get out of that mindset but it’s something she needs to do fast. I love the joke of Carolina trying to be more fun by getting in on Tucker’s because it’s funny that it’s too weird for the guys. The conversation between Felix/Locus is incredible. He is such a menacing as a villain able to command a room so well, scarily intelligent and has such a large influence it seems impossible to do anything against him. The new suit he has designed based on the Meta is terrifying being largely improved making it much more dangerous and while he is most likely going to be selling this other more nefarious ways Malcolm could use these new suits makes this new equipment even scarier as he demonstrates extremely clearly to Felix & Locus with his ultimatum. Even his anger is cold and calculating. That threat and reward are great incentives to do better. I think the stocks being RWBY references is great. Yeah the hypocrisy of the Chairman is another great and messed up part of this as well. I love episode 7 because of how it gives a deeper/better look into the inner workings of Locus and I like ancient alien technology plots. It’s always interesting to see ancient alien technology used in a story and the way it seems to be a test and the whole true warrior thing makes it more interesting. And now we get to a favorite scene of mine Locus in the gateway. I love that we get to see a younger Locus and seemingly the point where he got his mentality of a soldier being a weapon who follows orders above all else. I like seeing the difference between Locus & Felix with Locus wanting to show mercy and Felix being pragmatic during a war. And even though it was short it feels like he doesn’t enjoy what he does like in the present. Also with the wording of who are you it could be a test of character. This is the 1st time I think we have really seen Locus lose his cool even compared to when Washington got in his head. And at the end of this episode Locus seems to have a lot on his mind/to think about. Oh yeah almost forgot we get the final clue about Sharkface and it looked like you figured out who this character is which was interesting to watch. I think the counselor talking about revenge was interesting as well. Awesome reaction/discussion & keep up the great work. :-) <3

Yeah that's the thing, you gotta love and hate Felix at the same time haha. The temple definitely complicates things. It's definitely really interesting to get to see more of Doyle and Kimball's priorities by discussing what the best option is, and I couldn't agree more about Wash's character growth!! It's definitely a dangerous mindset to have when you're trying to unite two sides. Hahaha Carolina trying to make jokes and no one can handle it!!! The new suit is terrifyingly awesome. So true that his anger is calm and cold in a scary way. The RWBY references were everything! The sheer hypocrisy is really something else. Locus in the gateway was so telling!!! It may have been brief but it does give a lot of insight. I think he was really shaken after that! Yeah I was putting together who Sharkface was here! The counselor's speech was indeed interesting. Thank you so much!!! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! Thanks for being so awesome as always!! ^_^
