Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to Red vs. Blue season 14, episodes 5 - 8!!!  OMG!!!!!!!  The Lego version of Red vs. Blue, starring kid Hargrove as their overlord, was AMAZING!!  I also loved learning the great but tragic tale of the other Reds, and their wine shelf that will never be!  But guys, I was NOT PREPARED for the movie trailers!!!!!  I can't pick a favorite!!!  But I wish more than anything that they were real!!!!!!!!!  I'm blown away hahaha!!!  What a great batch!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

As far as I recall, all of those live action shots were filmed with Halo cosplayers at one of the RTX conventions. Since they had them doing stunts, Rooster Teeth probably had to make the Tucker and Sarge suits themselves, but the rest of them are regular cosplayers showing off their armor. There's some cg in those shots, like the swords and spaceships, but most of it is real. I always find it interesting watching people watch episodes 6 and 7 without any context for who the voice actors are or any of the meta jokes they're making. Those guys were Funhaus, one of the other YouTube channels that are a part of Rooster Teeth, and many of their lines are meta jokes about their videos and fans. For example, the Peake cult was a real think. People often typed /\ in the comments and yelled "Peake" out during convention panels. Basically because Matt Peake was a quiet guy who wasn't always on camera and tried to stay out of the spotlight. This went on for like three years. Like most fandom stuff it makes absolutely no sense out of context.

In episode 5, the mom was played by Jen Brown. The voice of Carolina and Pyrrha.

The Lego one keeps making the joke that “everything is connected…” which you should take literally. Also, Caboose thinks that Church is the most valuable thing in Blue Base, which also adds up. You weren’t supposed to put the whole Malcolm Hargrove is the kid together until the end when the mom says his name, that’s the joke. And yes… Mom is Jen Brown, the voice of two of our favorite people, Carolina and Pyrrha, as others have mentioned. The next one was focusing on a different Red team which wasn’t so different after all - although I get the feeling there were a lot of sci fi reference jokes such as the aliens taking over the ship and such… but of course our Caboose is so dense that he doesn’t ever bother to bring it up. What can I say about the trailers other than they speak for themselves? There’s a lot of references to earlier jokes such as “I have a boner for murder,” and “the rent in hell gets paid in advance.” All Sarge lines of course. Did you notice how Washington was playing the bad guy? (Now I want Sarge to do a spoof of the Ozpin yell from RWBY. Ooh! A RWBY gag movie trailer would also be interesting!) By the way, I take no responsibility for you hurting yourself or your funny bone in this batch it’s your responsibility to stay put in your chair. All right, all right, all right? (If you know… you know!) 😎

Rooster teeth really put immense effort and time into their entertainment. Those were so good! And the tidbits I’ve read in the comments just makes me love it even more. 🤩😆😲

No kidding, wow! That's amazing!!!!! That just makes it even more interesting lol. Ohhhhh the joke definitely has some deeper meaning now lol, it wasn't a bad joke on its own but the knowing the meta background definitely makes it funnier!!!

Hahaha yes everything is quite literally connected :P Caboose cherishes his bestie! And good, I'm glad I didn't miss anything with the joke, but I still kicked myself after because it's not like Malcolm is a super common name! I LOVE that Jen Brown plays the mom, that's awesome!!! The red team arc was fun and another comment informed me of some of the background of the jokes (it's above yours if you wanna read it!). HAHAHAHAHA the trailers, and the lines, omg! I like Wash as the villain! Hahaha that would be amazing, and OMG a RWBY spoof movie, seems like the perfect thing for a RWBY Chibi ep doesn't it?! LOL!!! I do know, and that's fair, although my funny bones are quite sore after this!!!

2023-07-21 14:39:39 I think this batch of episodes is really fun although I don’t have that much to say about them. Lego RVB was such an imaginative concept. Also stop motion is just incredible isn’t it? Some really great jokes in this episode especially the Sarge birthday stuff & the giant pizza part. The moment with the Cat and the roomba was most hilarious/best joke for me. I felt bad for the mom but she was entertaining. The entire show in this alternate universe just being part of kid Malcolm Hargrove’s imagination is an amazing reveal LOL. I do not really like the next 2 episodes but it was interesting to see other simulation soldiers. Although I do love Cherry the alien AI she’s cute. The way you said what a novel idea when Turf was thinking over Morgan’s not kill ourselves idea was great sarcasm. The alien cult thing was done well it was funny. I like Caboose having a small adventure. These guys almost went on to have a better life. What an unfortunate voice modulator problem which I think is making fun of Siri which has issues like that LOL. I love these PSA’s they are hilarious. Movie trailers with these characters work surprisingly well. I love the way the 1st trailer is a bunch of tropes and movie concepts smashed together. The dialogue is suitably ridiculous in all the trailers being references to all sorts of movies but with that RVB flavor. It’s kind of crazy to see these characters in these different genres somehow it worked. I love how dramatic these trailers are especially the close ups LMAO. It’s hard to pick any of these as the best one I agree but the last one might be the best by a small margin. It’s so impressive and amazing that RT made a really good looking live action trailer in this universe. It was going by so fast but the action looked particularly good honestly. The overlapping one-liners and the “cast” are so damn hilarious. The build up to the clash between Sarge & Tucker is well done. The music for the last trailer is awesome. Unfortunately a whole episode/movie in live-action in good quality would almost certainly be too expensive. I love these trailers being awesome and ridiculous although I think the dialogue might be the best part of all of these. I understand wanting these movies to exist they would be enjoyably great disasters I think. Nice to know/learn the fun facts from the other comments. Awesome/hilarious reactions & keep up the great work. :-) <3

I agree, it's so much fun! Lots of clever concepts and how can you not love the Roomba/cat moment haha! Omg what a twist right!! The poor mom haha. Oh that's cool, there's still other eps in here to love! Cherry was cute for sure haha. Lol I'm glad you liked my sarcasm!! Omg a Caboose adventure, so fun! Hahahaha the Siri references and just the whole ridiculous but relatable nature of that situation was too much! They were so close to a better life lol. OMG the trailers were EVERYTHING!!! It works really well actually, right!! Yeah that last one hit different. I mean it looked like a solid movie to go see didn't it haha. The one-liners, the clash - it's all just so great! Yeah I doubt they'll ever be able to make an actual movie but dang, what a world if they did! The music was on point! Enjoyably great disaster is the perfect way to put it lol!!!
